I don’t wish to go into the whole ‘what constitutes a big club’ debate, but one way to measure it is revenue generated.

In this category, our only competition is Wrexham. Admittedly, they were in the league below at the time of generating this, but they turned over £10.47m. We turned over £8.55m.

The difference being, we didn’t have American fanboys/Netflix inflating this figure by £5m+.

Although fingers get pointed at Sparks and Rupp, the club is ran very well (financially) - especially when it comes to the commercial side.

To use a retail analogy, then a firm could have a decent supply chain, competitive prices, attractive looking shops/website……but the actual primary reason for their existence……the product is poor and unattractive.

Being a well run club, but having a dull product, in the long term is going to put customers off.

What City has is brand loyalty and the fact that no other competitor is……..Bradford City in the eyes of the consumer, is what gives the club the size of support it currently has.

That's fair comment and shows exactly what Sparks should be doing, although we do have Davide Longo currently running that very well. The problem all along has been no one running the ship with a football acumen, hence no real strategy with on field matters other than hire and fire. Hopefully Sharpe might be the person to inject this missing ingredient, if so it proves where the problem was all along. And if it does i don't see any real reason to have Sparks here anymore.

    are we price sensitive?

after the performance on and off the field over past 12 months I would have expected a drop off of sales even without the price increase. Price has gone up as well so we should have seen a double drop but we haven’t so far

How far might we have gone if the two Hollywood guys had turned up here, with our fan base and commercial activity.
I know they have invested, but i presume its into a directors loan account, that they will probably take back if they reach the championship.

I was just thinking about the level of sales
15000 last season at an average of £150 is £2,250,000
11000 so far at say £200 average is £2,200, 000.
So only around £50,000 less with still 2 weeks of sales.
Could be a good business decision , when the final tally is done.

Is he the one who tried to deck his mate during the Crawley game last season, missing and hitting a young lass. The resulting stoppage in play (which was stupid anyway) resulted in us losing momentum and giving away a lead.

The average will be nowhere near that given the massive numbers of kids tickets sold at £19. Knock half a million off both.

It was about 1 in 6 around 2500 if i am correct , so the average i have worked on will not be far off.

No , it was around the 2000 mark i believe.
You could also factor in that an adult that is not going to renew, might have a couple of kids in tow, the kids certainly will not be re-newing without their parents.

We are currently 13th in lge 2.
We will start our 5th straight lge 2 season in August.
Our average finish over the previous 4 seasons is 11th.

The whole “big club” or “little club” debate couldn’t have less relevance if you tried.

The price is still comparatively very cheap, we're paying less for our season tickets than we were 20+ years ago.

There are lots of people who go simply because it is cheap football, our cup crowds when it is all pay don't reflect us as the big, mahooooossive club that some are keen for us to be seen as.

I am not saying the cheap tickets are wrong, though I think it gives many a warped view of the actual stature of the club.

I thought you was referring to the category in which we have seen a decrease in price to £19?

    Thus noted as young person

Thanks Dave. I stand corrected. Based on 12,000 sales, which now looks likely.

    52% Full Adult @ £249 = £1,554,000
    27% Senior & Young person @ £219 = £709,000
    13% Youth @ £159 = £171,000
    6% Junior @£19 = £13,700
    5% 25 Years @ £150 = £100,000

Total take = approx £2,550,000 and probably still the highest in L2

I can't be arsed working out what it would have been last year, but probably very similar.
