He could have stopped the poor fouls (8?) on Kavanagh . If he’d have booked the first two. Otherwise Smallwoods wasn’t a booking , he got the ball then collided with their msn. The two gat should have got booked by following through on keeper Walker in the first half.

As an aside there was a remarkable similarity between this match and forest green.

Forest Green scored with a header after 40odd seconds. Tranmere had almost the exact same corner and the lad headed wide.

Our defence hasn't been the strongest in the last 5 or 6 games. We seem to have loads of men in the box but the oppo always seem to win a header. Lucketti needs to get them working harder on the training ground.

 

I dropped out of things this week Tony but was going to post midweek , but thought meh!

We will never have a dynamic forward line and do well with a largely static centre forward . We have to face facts. Good header of the ball but technically way off pace. Yes there will be those that don’t agree but hey…defences are absolutely terrified of technical pace no matter what league a club is in. . Oddly today showed it to a T ( Bar Smith) . As long as Cookie plays from the get go then we won’t progress. I’d like to see him as a threat later in the game tbh.

Very empty around me in the MR too.

 

He is in the right place to miss if you get my meaning . All season we see balls fly across the box or drop in the 6 yard box and no one is near it. Yet Smith is and will keep getting in the positions. Yes the goals haven’t flowed but like others have said I think we have a player there.
