I feel a little more positive than the general feeling being shown on here.

Short of coming out today announcing he or Sparks were leaving, this is the best option.

Is it too late? Probably for a large chunk of the fan base yes.

Am I cynical for all the reasons that have been listed in the above 10/11 pages of thoughts, absolutely.

But it offers some green shoots of hope.

The proof will now be in the pudding. If these promises have been made and don’t get acted on, then I think the club is going to go only one way, and very very quickly.

We’ve probably lost a large chunk of our fan base already, but you can be sure if this just proves to be lies and bluster then the bulk of those remaining will go the same way

Talk is cheap and we're well past the empty sentiments of how hard people work and wanting to give fans something to cheer about.
The letter isn't going to make me hit the renew button for my ST.
I'd politely suggest that Ryan and Stephan delay the deadline for renewing until the start of next season.
This will allow for them to implement some of the changes hinted at in this letter. And maybe rebuild some the trust which is very much lacking at the moment.

They have less than a month to convince me further and if Sparks is about to reveal something then why not now ????

 

The things he stated today pretty much mirror what he said in 2018. You might have missed that bit Norman. You might also have missed the fact it's taken him the best part of 5 seasons in league 2 since he said that to realise he's been making mistakes. I'm guessing you missed that bit as well.

We are always pleased when a communication comes from our owner Stefan Rupp. Unfortunately, the communication is either when mistakes have happened or a takeover attempt is made. We wrote to Mr Rupp on behalf of our members and he chose not to engage.
We outlined that we wanted communication so fantastic that this point has been met but we also outlined a short, medium and long term plan, a true fans forum with both Stefan Rupp and Ryan Sparks in attendance. Alas, we've seen some of the same aims made in previous...s
Statements and though we agree that mistakes have been made by SR and RS, nothing has changed. The club has still regressed under Stefan's ownership and the direction of Ryan Sparks. We welcome the intention of Stefan Rupp to progress and we expect him to deliver
But until a real ambitious plan is delivered for the short, medium and long term future of this football club, effective communication from the club and its figureheads and a willingness to engage with supporters then our actions will continue. The protest will go ahead.
We question the timing of this statement. Low ST sales, supporter unrest and a protest due to go ahead the next day. It is over to you Mr Rupp. Deliver some elements of what you have promised and our supporters will back a wider plan. Fail to do so and they will not.

 

Before any footballing discussions are taken with regards next seasons player budget. The position Ryan is in at this present moment he would be a fool not to accept help in the area he has little knowledge.

 

How many of them seasons to forget have we had in the last 8 years under Rupp?

The hatred of this club which for a start is fooking bollocks.
If we hated it so much then why the hell are we putting all this effort into getting rid of folk who clearly dont give a shit and think they can spout bollocks and we all fall for it ??????
Still know doubt if Rupp had told you that bids had been put in for Foden and Saka you would believe him

 

It 100% is. It'll motivate Rupp to sell, and at a lower price.

Rupp isn't 'damnded if he does', he just needs to actually do.
