I got that sense too but was conscious of the possibility of confirmation bias.

The words he chose of knowledge and history about the fans were very telling for me.

 

Looking at the city vent poll on twitter, it seems 67% of those who voted do not intend to join the protest. I wonder what action would awaken the majority from sleep walking into oblivion.

 

How many actually voted in total? It's usually easier for people to take the default position on matters rather than try to affect change through positive action. The poll of who want Sparks out on here is a vast majority but it's not representative of the whole fanbase and neither would the City Vent poll be. Even if just 100 people protested on Friday it's a starting point.

 

This is my take on things. These things take time.

It started with a fairly low tech broadcast from a pub, which received some derision. However, what, three months down the line we have WOAP calling for change, an organised protest, the media relevant to Bradford City discussing the discontent etc.

City might continue to adopt a bunker mentality, but a tipping point will come. Perhaps only indirectly related to the protest, but SR is aware that things are falling apart.

 

It really saddens me that RS or SR are completely silent on this. Do they think this will just go away. ST sales are appalling by all accounts. They know it's happening as does GA. @wetherbywhaler Seriously Roger can you not give RS a dig in his ribs to wake him up and engage with the fan base? Or is RS to much of a narcissist to do that?

 

The poll has 1230 votes at the moment and 33% have voted that they're attending, which is still a good number. Most of the comments under the poll are from people not attending the protest simply because they're boycotting the whole game.

 

Thank you for that. So we can expect around 400-500 then? More than I imagined really. Seems our fanbase is now becoming a bit more galvanised.

 

There will be an uplift prior to the 8th April probably coinciding with payday and the home game with Gills where people can go in person to sort multiple tickets out.
There will then be another uplift at the end of the month before the deadline.
If it’s 3k today, I reckon it’ll be closer to 10k by end of April.

people attend in groups. You see from posts on here. When one fan doesn’t renew, neither do their partner, or friends or family. Thousands of fed up fans. We won’t get more than 10k now IMO.

Whatever it takes to get Rupp and Sparks out, I’m all for it. If the club goes bust and we start again away from VP, let it happen.

 

Looking at those second and third places I would think the police will move any stationary group on from the second spot straight away as they will cause a crush risk due to the crash barriers at the edge of the pavement. Third option I can not see any issues with.

He won’t do that. He wrote some bollocks to @JonButterfield who once again fell for the BS. Claiming he pays 12k to have no role at the club. So, what you pay 12k for VIP tickets and a car parking space? No, you pay 12k to benefit yourself by A) getting work from the club or B) building your network and getting work from others. He is an influence at the club and could easy tell Sparks to do the right thing and resign or tell Rupp about what the fans think but no!!will sit sit back and watch the club die!

Sparks needs to leave! It’s that simple. If Rupp isn’t going to sell then at least change the Shite you have at key positions at the club! FFS!

 

You've posted a lot of good stuff about the current situation, but I think you are being unfair on WW here.

He's done a lot for our club over the years, probably saved us hundreds of thousands of pounds. Realistically, how can he influence either RS or SR?? He's a non-exec, not a shareholding board member.

 

TBF he has been regularly seen next to RS at games. I think he does have RS's ear. That's what I was alluding to earlier.
