For me there's been dashes of him being able to get results at this level. Just before Christmas and until very recently just before FGR we were unbeaten in was it 6 league games? I also like the guy.

I very much dislike firing managers. Especially at Bradford City. Not one club sacks managers every 6-12 months and is succesful. In my opinion a manager needs 12-18 months really to put his stamp on the squad and build his own team or the makings of.

GA has inherited an unbalanced and very weak squad mentally.

I keep saying this, but i'll say it agin. Sack him. See what happens. It won't be better....

And they all come here with "As soon as I knew Bradford were interested I couldn't wait to get started".......

Sack him and see what happens. Sod it. You've all convinced me with your superior football knowledge....

I give up. People are just going the easy route here and wanting managers gone left right and centre. LIKE THAT'S THE PROBLEM : unamused:

If the players go on a winning streak now after all the pressure of the play offs have been blown away they need binning off. Total overhaul.. Keeper stays and Platt/Kelly/ Halliday/Gillhead maybe..... The rest are history

I'm not a fan of the revolving door of managers either. With so many in such little time at City, it's clear the issues arent in the dugout. However, they also need to show something for fan and player investment and it seems GA is losing that side of things.

He had his new manager bounce, with 4 wins from his first 6, but then went winless for 8. After another bright spell, it's now 0 points from 12. If we losing and trying, it's at least excusable. But we are getting easily turned over. We don't create, we don't defend, we don't run and to me that shows that the players aren't playing for the manager. When that happens, the writing is on the wall, unfortunately. I like GA, he seems a very smart man who'll know the lay of the land. But this post just seems like a ticking clock for him.

Managers don't get a chanced to build squads now at this level, but even more when someone like Gent is here who has openly said he is running the transfers. So its not like they are building, someone is giving a manager pieces and told to make it work.

Maybe they don't get chance. But they should really. Look at Steve Evans, Nigel Clough, Dave Challinor. They have and look where they are?

I imagine the players have downed tools since the FGR game. The end of that game is where something has changed. We actually played well in that match but we just didn't score. Right at the beginning and right at the end we conceded. In the middle it was all us.

GA has alluded to other issues at the club, so I imagine the downing of tools or whatever happened after FGR has something to do with it all.

Didnt GA state he would never play with an isolated striker and would always play two up top and now hes doing exactly that

Playing around 5 players out of position when theres players on the bench , How many positions has Gilead played

Throwing everyone on the bench on the pitch on the last 10 minutes in the feint hope it will achieve something

Smashing diagonal balls up the pitch that rarely gets results

    Strange bloke

Hes probably alluding to the pitch and training facility's

Let’s be honest here. This squad have not played for any manager for more than a couple of matches. It was the same with Hughes.

I don't disagree with you, but I don't see why the "other issues" should affect the players performances so much. We aren't in danger of going bust so they are not in danger of losing their jobs. The CEO and owner don't interfere with the selection or on the pitch matters. I know they will be aware of issues but the manager should protect them from that. They need to do their jobs

One of the issues is clear to me.
Three not One manager,Three during a season all playing different systems.
The players haven't got a clue what there doing their all over the place.
Players get injured and god knows we've had more than our fair share this season then by the time they come back it's all changed.
City are not blessed with the most gifted players that's evident from team performances. The assembled squad is definitely not good enough to play square pegs in round holes that's for sure but on to many occasions that's been the case.

And if the Manager at the time asks them to fill a void in the team can they do a job.
    Results would suggest they can't.

It's just the surrounding of a bad situation, and that thing floats down no matter the business. If you work somewhere that has had some rudderless leadership, or a whiff of incompetence from the top, it trickles down to all aspects of that business and football as has been shown over the years is no different.

If you get an inkling of the higher ups having a poor work mentality, or a "that will do" remit like Sparks job of just keep the lights on and make sure we don't go bust. That "it will do" mindset will seep its way into the playing staff for sure. For me, the players have already decided that GA wont be here come the summer and are playing within themselves. Don't know if anyone listens to Under the Cosh or some of the interviews of the Ben Foster podcast, but the amount of ex-pros who say the players all know when to stop playing, or play half arsed because the writing is on the wall for a manager is unreal. Feels like that now at City.

True, but then also maybe GA should be flexible enough to pick a system to suit the players he has, rather trying to shoehorn them into a system they can't play.

I get what your saying but I have a hunch Graham and Chris will know the score by now with the ability of all our players understandably under the microscope.
If they get the chance the squad will almost certainly be freshened up to their liking but you know our track record in that department it's been abysmal for a long time.
Stephen Gent certainly hasn't changed the trend.

Someone suggested to me our present demise should be firmly blamed on our fanbase.
I replied in a less than carm manner and suggested you can only react too what's played out Infront of you.
Personally I would never blame the fanbase but once again it's all about opinions.

Possibly and only possibly some of the home form can be blamed on it being a difficult place to play. The fand turn quick and it gets very toxic very quick aswell. But as hard as it must be at home, the away fans are fantastic.

It is not the fans fault tbh. They have had years of being lied to. Constant promises have gone unfulfilled we are where we are due to high levels on incompetence, lack of clarity and honesty. The fans have invested money and emotional energy into supporting their club. If they are misbehaving or providing a toxic atmosphere then that is what happens the when club has failed. I am miserable when I think about City. The chances of me renewing my ST are remote, yes I want too, but I just can’t waste more energy on them, and that is 34 years a ST holder.
