I have some sympathy for Alexander, he can not throw the players under the bus, There are still matches to play ,but i bet he wishes he could, A collection of half arsed lilly livered excuses for professional footballers assembled by a team or useless feckers.
Sparks and gent need to go now , followed by a large number of the so called playing staff come May.
We can not sack another manager how many would that be under the leadership of the baby faced assassin. They can not all be poor or clueless.
Would you trust Sparks in choosing another manager, who would take the job with his track record. He and Rupp are the only constants in this shit show. I also do not want Rhodes anywhere near the club, he is 100% at fault for losing the stadium ownership and ran the club like a fire sale.

Sad thing is he’s stuck with quite a few of the dross unless he can move them on but I don’t think he will be here to have that conundrum

I've had the opinion that we shouldn't be sacking GA earlier in this thread, on the basis hiring and firing has got us nowhere, and to add to this it isn't a squad GA has assembled etc etc. But now I'll be honest I don't know what to think, GAs team selections have me totally lost, inadequate players when in their best position and playing them out of position is a recipe for disaster, I get that he has a preferred formation but he doesn't have the players to play it effectively so why would you persist with it??

When do you sack him, now, who would you replace him with, do you wait till the season ends, when we should be re building.
It would be sheer madness. Sparks is crazy enough though. Nothing is ever his fault,

I think tbh however much I'm fed up with our hiring and firing repeat process I think I'd give him the boot the sooner rather than later, and I'd give John Coleman a shot at it, and he gets a few games then end of season to see how sh1t this lot is.

Leave him where he is till it's known what's happening at the very top
Can't see a new owner/ceo keeping him on
All four (including Gent) need to move on

I think you could replace him with a passer by and probably get a better starting 11 and formation

It is deeply concerning that we have just collapsed and look bereft of confidence or a game plan. While GA hasn't dug any players out publicly, one could argue that his selection and tactics are adding to the problems.

I read some stuff on social media and I think fans just have this idea that players can run harder and longer and that will make everything work, like a magic sponge on injuries. If only football was a simple as that and I have a small amount of sympathy for the players, especially playing for an organisation where there is no set plan or strategy to what the clubs does to gain success. Games like a 3-0 win against Accrington might give the happy clappers a stiffy, but if you know football you understand when something is merely being papered over. And despite flirting with the playoffs last season, the inevitability of failure is always gonna be the end product of a regime with no idea of how to own or run a successful football club. Hey we might get lucky with a managerial appointment but we used up all that luck when Phil Parkinson came through the doors some 10 years ago.
We are where we are because thats what our owners input deserves. And as it stands we as fans are powerless to effect change. It might take the dreaded cost of relegation to get it.

A genius move I think we can all agree. I feel sorry for the lad, not his fault the manager plays him out of position like some kid playing FIFA.

We have been hammered four games running something is badly wrong with GA and the players. ! He is either not good st communicating his tactics or the players have not bought into it,either way he’s left with a number of the current squad next year so keep him and the hangover will run well into next season- I think erm we should erm sack him

If we have nothing else then fair enough but Kelly has been no worse than Ridehalgh (whatever GA says) and in my opinion should have started today.
If we are freely scoring goals you can just about have a LB at CH.
You can’t when you are shipping goals for fun.

The phrase “square pegs” has been mentioned far too often on here over the last few seasons.

    It’s getting tiresome now.

The worry is that he's lost the dressing room (something WOTP hinted at last week).

But we were 6 unbeaten before that and had a run of 8 before Christmas , That tells me the players are weak as piss and can not stand up and be counted when the pressure is on. Its an easy game when everything is going for you, its when its like this you prove your worth.

I hate it when a manager does it, turned me right off Bowyer cos he did it regularly. His reason for picking Ridehalgh was bizarre, he said he dropped for lack of form on the radio interview after. I get that GA has.come to a club with no real organisation but jeez he doesn't help himself with his very strange team selections.

The players have downed tools. And we have a weak squad.

Alexander has had them playing before and I’m sure we will win again.

Sod it, sack him. Then whoever comes in is equally as shite I’ll sit here and say told you so.

Pep Guardiola wouldn’t do any better. The teams unbalanced and weak.

Maybe he has picked a weird side, but we don’t know what happens behind closed doors. Who’s carrying a knock. Who’s not fully fit. Who just doesn’t want to play.

apparently Chapman didn’t want to come on today.

Worth remembering if we do sack Alexander, we might not have to pay out 2 years of a deal in its entirety.

I remember a few seasons back, can't remember if it was when they sacked Evans or McCann, but DMac on his podcast was explaining what happens when you sack a manager. One of the things he said they put in their deals and most clubs he knows do too, was like a limit or bracket on compensation if the manager is terminated.

I can't remember which Posh manager it was, but he said their goal was top 7 in L1 and if the club were 12th, the contract had an agreement that they'd only have to pay a certain percentage like 80%. The further away from the table goal, the less the club pay out due to poor performance. If I remember rightly he said his manager was sacked when they were 15th? And he said he saved a fair whack. Not sure if it's an EFL rule to try financially protect clubs from keeping managers, or just something they allow, but hopefully we have something similar in GAs deal.
