    The Post Office had an IT department - a colleague of mine used to work there. The Post Office IT department worked in conjunction with Fujitsu to deliver and operate the Horizon IT system.

    It might be an out of the box template that City have taken on, which they can then tailor to their needs.
    Depends on the contract who is responsible for the testing, but ultimately it’s Bradford Citys means to make sales and Bradford Citys reputation on the line, regardless of who has not fully tested

    Yes, inexcusable. Was a User Acceptance Test Manager in a former life.....The IT provider should have thoroughly tested it prior to handover and I would definitely expect somebody at City to have signed off prior to implementation...

    What if the existing ticketing system provider couldn’t continue with the service and have forced city into a rushed / emergency migration?

    What was wrong with the old system? There should have been a full test run and probably more than once. Then instructions in stage by stage so ppl can use it as a reference. If you are not doing a full migration of data then ppl need to know how to put their data in again. Although I have no idea why data was not migrated. There should have been no rush.

    I'm not defending the club over the shoddy, untested implementation, but in another thread someone said the existing provider was pulling out of sports ticketing at the end of the season. So it appears the club had no choice other than to bring a new system online mid season, or else they would have had to wait until the end before starting to sell season tickets.

    No I don’t know that, it’s one possible reason why they’d change a working system at such short notice in the middle of the season.

    That’s the point, there was nothing really wrong with it so there must be some other factor as to why it was rush changed.

    I hope you're not suggesting a club within a club, when Rupp got a whiff of what was going on at the club he was quick to intervien, and I thought at the time this guy knows his onions, yet he failed to suss his business partner on the take, maybe not as smart as many originally thought.

    I see City have this morning advertised Grimsby, Walsall and Salford tickets on sale to season ticket holders.

    Nope, the new improved ticketing system is only selling to those with 1990 points.

    They really are fcuking useless.
