Graham Alexander should be sacked

I’m sorry but there won’t be a long term plan while our current CEO is picking the managers.
He has lied to the fans on a number of occasions now and if not removed from his position could well oversee this club fall out of the football league. The man is an abject failure and while GA seems to have lost it over the last week I’m not sure I can blame him for any of this mess. We are literally a rudderless mess.
A number of decent managers have already turned us down. If we sack GA then all we are going to end up with is Kevin McDonald.

 

You’re correct. Our CEO is a massive problem. I think Sparks needs to do the right thing and resign! Bloody tell him @wetherbywhaler! Care about the club FFS!

He’s the main problem. Rupp I have my own issues with but Sparks has now been CEO for nearly 3 and a half years and we have seen constant decline. His position is untenable. He has to resign or be sacked immediately.

 

Come on now FFS, it's clearly the players.
We all know Smallwood isn't the leader we need.
We all know Ridehalgh shouldn't be here.
We all know Cook is either scoring or doing nothing.
We all slated Gilliead as a midfielder who is still first choice.
We all know Smith is weak.
We all know the wing backs aren't wingbacks.

The recruitment IS the massive issue on top of the constant changing of the management teams.
6 teams in 4 years under the watch of Sparks.
The players have seen to Hughes, and now they can't do simple things asked of them by GA.
Big clear out in the summer, let Graham get some grafters in, and have a full season under him.
That's the only way to move forward, with stability.
Getting a new manager in will only have him taking time to look at the players in the squad, and because a new gaffer is here maybe the players up their game for a few matches to give the new manager a false sense of trust and hand more 1 year extensions out just like Hughes did.

Clear them out , Gilliead, Ridehalgh, Smallwood, Walker.
They've done nothing to show that they have what's needed for promotion.

 

We've seen it many many times.
Jewell. Put in as manager and we were awful for weeks on end.
Next season promotion.
Parky, first season awful.
Next season Promotion.
Hughes came in and gave everyone a boost but we weren't amazing.
Next season, Play offs.
Managers need to be given a lot longer than one transfer window to fix what's been built for years before him.

 

Alexander was quick to get on the pitch at end to shake smallwoods hand at end. Exactly what for after that I've no idea.

 

Cook losing his shit with the fans after the whistle the highlight of the night. Glad i stayed behind or i'd have missed the toxicity. I'll be honest i'm not sure i have the words to describe what i witnessed tonight An utterly pathetic performance in front of a pitiful crowd, a team of players that looked like they'd never played together. i don't think the players have any confidence in what the manager tries to do at Valley Parade.

These players would get Klopp sacked but Alexander's last two home games have really put doubts in my mind if he's right man for the job. He might has well started with a back 4 the way we defended tonight and if he thinks that the players gave everything then God help when we have a off day. Just remember that Notts County were also in poor form coming into this game and we made them look like world beaters.

 

The problem for Sparks and the club now is, there's not a great deal of positivity or belief that Alexander can build towards something more positive for next season. Whether he can or can't, is probably debatable. With recent results and management decisions pointing towards the negative.

He might be able to rebuild something with a significant squad overhaul in the summer, but that's likely to be hampered if the season continues to end with a whimper and season tickets sales are adversely affected. Will they just sack him and hope they can find someone from somewhere who gets the fans salivating for next season? From previous appointments, I'm even doubtful that they could now pull that off.

When the largest leaver that they can pull at the top of the football club is now as tainted as everything else. The only thing left outside of a very quick sale (probably unlikely) is the removal of both Sparks and Gent and a total reset from the top down, either including or excluding GA.

Without significant changes, I think it's all pointing towards a very grim short to medium term future. Much more of this and I wouldn't be surprised to see the club entering a death spiral.

 

Have you heard Alexander's interview yet, totally watching a different match to what you witnessed

 

I think it would be hard for newly signed players to talk about how big the club is and how big the attendances are etc once we finish lower half of the division barely scraping 4K home fans on a Saturday.

 

I agree -it was a bit Adam's esque in its content. Totally bizarre and nothing like the actual game we just witnessed. That has concerned me a lot. No anger or emotion about the shitshow(s) we have just witnessed over the last 7 days or so.

 

Yeah i listened on the way home. If we hadn't sacked so many managers lately i'd have said he sounded like a dead man walking. thought he was gonna cry at one stage. Clubs completely on its arse from top to bottom.

 

I think he learnt his lesson in his last interview at MK dons where he lost it and blamed the players but now he's gone to far the the other way and just bullshitting to what actually happened on the pitch in protection of the players.

 

If Sparks and Gent have any decency and integrity left they would resign tomorrow morning

@wetherbywhaler could be a great mouthpiece for the fans. I asked a question a couple of days ago and despite being online since there’s been no response.
I get the impression the club don’t see the level of problems we as fans do.
Alexander is making mistakes but he seems to be being thrown under the bus by those higher up than him right now
