Could we even afford to sack him and Lucketti?

We will be lucky to generate the same level of season ticket income as this year. Paying them both off and the increase in costs elsewhere would likely have a huge impact on the playing budget. Not that any half decent footballer would want to be anywhere near us at the moment.

Well...that 'performance' fully deserved all the boos at the end. Somewhat of a shame there weren't 16,000 there to join in -- that would really have been an impressive wall of noise!

It is a very good thing we have 50 pts already. For a while there a bit of optimism started creeping back in, but we've gone back to lower-table awfulness. I really thought that the players would put in a better show tonight, after the previous two matches, but instead they looked defeated before they even started. If indeed there are problems between players and manager, as has been hinted at, then one side or the other is going to have to be cleared out, regardless of cost.

I must say that I don't really mind AK's commentary, though Bower and Morais are certainly better. Still, today several apt and rather critical comments were made by the commentary team.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again
This is on par, if not worse than the Docherty era

    I think they'll have to.

The new outlook for City has to be long term League Two side, and if we're going to do that, we need to look at cheap young players like Pointon and Wilson that GA has absolutely no interest in.

We're gonna need a proper coach with proper focus on youth if crowds do indeed drop. There's no use keeping GA at the club when he's going to need decent finances to launch an expensive promotion campaign.

i have a bit of sympathy for Alexander . The defense picked itself and only Kelly was a proper centre half.
Halliday and Richards both had poor games as the wing backs , Smallwood and Gillead chased the shadows of County's 7 and 10 all game, both the type of midfield player we need.
As for the forwards its all huff and puff and no composure .
i really do not know where we go from here, i fear for the club that next season could be our last in the football league, unless something drastic happens.

I didn’t watch tonight. I genuinely couldn’t do it as feared what I’ve just seen would be the outcome. The starting XI offered my little hope and when I suspiciously logged onto iFollow at 10mins in to see how we were doing, I was switching off within 3 mins. Now I’ve just seen the result, am I surprised??

Cannot comment on the performance, but scanning this thread it reads like FGR and Mansfield part III.

City will always be my team, but the club right now is becoming almost unrecognisable.

As I was telling my son.
In the 39 years I've been supporting City, we've never been this low.
Quality wise it's hard to compare, different eras etc, but position wise, by far the lowest in nearly 45 years??
Worse thing is, the stadium and fanbase is the best it's been since we were formed

That’s me done for the season now. I’ll probably renew my ST (heart over head), but those three defeats have done me for this year.

Genuinely how many people do you think were there tonight? I’m reading some on here saying as low as 5k?

Apologies if this has been mentioned already elsewhere, but did anyone else have issues accessing the main stand suites this evening? Absolute farce down there. Security people on the door using what they say are 'new scanners' that flash up red when they're scanning tickets. They were trying to refuse us entry claiming that we didn't have the suite upgrade, which we do. Seemed to be a lot of supporters in the same boat. Tried to explain that we've been paying for the suite upgrade for years, but it was a case of 'new scanner says no, so get out'. You'd think the club would be desperate for fans to come in, not trying to keep us out!

Couple of hundred fans blocking the main entrance early on a match day and Sparks would be gone.Wont happen though.

This week has felt like we’re watching the team from “Ripping Yarns.”

im amazed nothing has been organised. I’d be there in a flash. For me protests are now the only way to get change. If Rupp won’t leave then fine but to keep Sparks as CEO is now nothing but negligence. I’m hoping tonight is finally the straw that breaks the camels back and the fans come together to force Rupp to act.

It’s our core fan base and always has been since 1996
Promotions brought new fans, and only cheap tickets since then have kept the attendances above 10k
Unless a massive change is made, expect 6k to be the norm

Now the chaff and plastic fans have been shed-we are left with the worthy fans who will ride the storm and take the club onto pastures new. Some fans still believe that performances on the pitch won't equate to a significant loss of ST sales. There were no more than 5K City fans there tonight , if that. And the boo's at full time were hearty and prolonged.

And I didn't see anyone clapping like a seal this time as I left. Very telling.
