Graham Alexander should be sacked

We played long ball without Cook. It’s a misnomer that people think we play long balls because Cook is in the team.
He’s far better with it at his feet as well.
But, today without Cook, we still played high diagonal balls to Oduor and Wright despite being marked by guys 4-5 inches taller.
Absolute madness.

Back to the main point though, Alexander has to be accountable yesterday. There are things I can’t fathom out with him, the persistence with people who are continually underperforming but refusal to give Pointon so much as half an hour off the bench.

I wouldn’t be sacking him though, not sure what that achieves or how it progresses us.

 

They're not alone. It's dinosaur football, and MK sussed him out sharpish. Some of his decisions around team selection and substitutions are frankly bizarre.

But I can't fixate on the manager, because no one in that position is really set up for success - because success isn't the mandate set by Rupp.

 

League two gets you league two managers, mistakes are gonna be made this season is clearly a goner, personally id judge the guy this time next season if he is still here, hopefully he can get rid of some of these players and get some better ones in in the summer.

 

I mentioned walking away from the match after the 5th went in that I can see us sliding into non league under this regime within next couple of seasons.

Thoroughly depressing, almost as bad as the Jackson and Taylor years.

2, possibly 3 of my family not renewing season tickets again until Rupp and Sparks are gone. I suspect many more will have a similar view.

 

MK Dons quickly realised this guy was a clown, sacked him and appointed a proper manager and now their sat in 4th.

 

Looking like a very good appointment. I think a few on here mentioned him as possibility for us. However, our hierarchy don't have the vision to look at possible younger managers who are doing well in the National League. It is a gamble though as Notts County are currently finding out

Possibly however the extreme squad size was hughes doing. Don’t forget how abysmal it was under him this season. He set us on this course.

 

Disagree re Alexander. Rinse and repeat.
Rupp and Soarkes however… If Sparkes as CEO had lead a business this backwards over a 3 to 5 year planning cycle he would have been replaced some time ago. He wasn’t due to off field improvement. However it’s the product on the pitch that football is measured on. And it’s been regressing for years. Time to go.

 

Alexander should be given time but some of his selections are strange. I accept his explanation yesterday on dropping Cook and Halliday and that the pitch is heavy and we are playing a game every few days over the next couple of weeks.
What I didn’t like yesterday was his attitude that we were beaten before we had even kicked a ball yesterday. He lauded over Mansfield like we had just played prime Liverpool. It could have been close to 8 or 9 yesterday and it was a truly dreadful performance. We cant have any more of them kind of performances between now and the end of the season.

 

Get rid and then what ???? Some other poor sod has to somehow get a tune out of this piss poor group.
Maybe we simply dont look half arsed because a fair few of this lot know that they are now on borrowed time.
Still sack GA now if you but the problems at the club will remain and until that is dealt with then sadly this shit will go on and on.

 

Yes we can and dont be decked if there is a fair few more of these sort if performances incoming now.

That yesterday was the reaction to the FGR that was that bunch of players reaction ...........that in a nutshell sums us up perfectly we can go on about right formations picking the right players but if the heart isnt there then frankly your screwed.

 

Alexander is a dinosaur of a manager with little talent. The club will only go backwards while he is here and also waste any youth talent we may have. He needs to go quickly MKDons realised that and rectified the mistake

 

I think Alexander will be a good manager for us next season with our reduced budget due to fans not renewing

 

What puzzled me yesterday was we choose to shoot towards the Kop first half

 

I assumed we lost the toss but wasn’t paying attention to who kicked off.

They didn’t pay much attention either.

 

That had me wondering, assumed we had lost the toss, but then Mansfield kicked off

 

Hope we stick with Alexander, too many flip flopping of managers in recent years.
We need to give the guy the tools to do the job and stick with him, recent changes have got us nowhere
