You've lost me mate why don't you understand the outrage from fans like ourselves after another very poor performance at Valley Parade because many of us have put years into supporting our club, why shouldn't we be outraged even though we've witnessed it all before ?.
I renewed both the grandsons and my season ticked last night for season 2024/25 if any fellow fan feels they don't want to renew I can certainly understand that, but I couldn't envisage fans like myself not renewing.
You maybe correct with regards starving the club of revenue that in itself will happen if fans don't renew next season after so many poor season we've been put through under our current owner.
I can't see a high % of fans not renewing, it wouldn't surprise me to see less than 10,000 renewing but I can't see 70/80% walking away.
The game you are going to watch is possibly 70/80 % based on the game but as many have posted in the past meeting up with friends and family are also a big factor, certainly away games with my grandson a few beers before the game in anticipation of the game, on a personal basis I hope I'll be getting back to doing a few away days next season.

Agree if they bring 2000 + many Bradford City fans who maybe don't attend midweek games will attend dependant on the weather I think it will be 12,000+ against Mansfield, no doubt a very competitive game we'll get all 3 points and raise our hopes once again.

I always find it quite amusing when posters who obviously don't sit in the areas they want closing, post lets close this or the other area of the stadium without doing a little home work, like you say imagine trailing the hospitality people out of the nice warm suites down the stairs and into a seating area that many complain are uncomfortable to sit in for the duration of the game.
I posted I have to put up with fans I wouldn't normally sit next to at away games I certainly wouldn't put up with it at home games, at our age I just want to enjoy the game (yes difficult recently) but I don't need someone sat next to me giving me the evil eye because their chanting "stand up if you love City" and I don't feel the need to prove to them they are more loyal than me, if they only knew **so funny**so funny.

    Also each season
Exactly so why are we paying out more wages than most of the other teams. Each season we have a competitive budget and spend it on players who don't perform. How many times do other managers say we should be higher with the squad we have.

You've been around the block long enough mate not to let little Mansfield get under your skin, I actually enjoy a healthy away following nothing like banter between the fans, Cloughy has got them going well this season but let's not forget this will be his 4th season at Mansfield and has an owner who backs him, they should be under more pressure than us, lets hope they don't score in the first 45 seconds after kick off.

    I've give you a clue .....

Not one person at the club above the manager has any idea whatsoever about football.

What a sorry state of affairs it was last night.

Walking to the ground from the Broadway. A usual busy footcourt was empty. The pubs were quiet for a matchday from the City Vaults and past North Parade. Manningham Lane didn't even suggest anything more than a first round Bristol Street Motors game was taking place.

The stadium was quiet, at least half of the season ticket holders not bothering to show up.

The atmosphere was flat, so was the performance.

A really dire experience all round where I'd say we would be lucky if we still had 1k people left in their seats as the full time whistle went.

I was debating as to go last night, my daughter said she didn't want to go and I don't blame her. I was sat there thinking why have I bothered as those in positions of power don't give a shit, and the performance on the pitch was from a team who were already writing this season off.

I've seen some dross over the many years I have had a season ticket, and I really don't think I will be making much effort to attend an evening game this season.

Those idiots who comfort themselves in the fact that it's good we are down to the core support need to focus on the reality. I've seen a few thousand through the gates and it's not better when it's like that. The best times are had when VP has 20k plus in, not when 7k drag themselves there out of habbit.

Didn't go last night but watched the oh so familiar disappointment unfold, was absolutely fuming and toys were well and truly thrown out the pram. Calmed down a bit now and just managed to bring myself to log on here although I've not read through the thread but I can imagine how it's gone. Anyhow along with most others on here I know the season is done for, but knowing City and how we roll I think we will be given another lifeline this season and be handed another opportunity to somehow salvage a poor season and sneak in the playoffs, which I know we will then fluff again. So if we somehow win Saturday then we would only be 1 point behind what us fans would of seen as acceptable by getting 4 points from FGR and Mansfield games which is what I think will happen.

The past few Tuesday night games the pubs have been empty before the game, it's a really un friendly place Bradford city centre after dark.

Out of interest, why do you consider it such a ‘daft’ idea?
Opening the whole stadium to accommodate 10000 fans dispersed around a 25000 seat stadium is stupid and only serves to create a poor atmosphere similar to that of MK Dons.

There's definitely a pattern here. We seem to perform at a level where we are consistently 5-10 points off the pace. If we go on a little run we inevitably fall away and when we have a bad spell we inevitably put in a few results. Seems like this will be the story of our season. Clearly we will beat Mansfield and then lose a couple.

    I’ve a pair!

However, fans that act like they are just happy to have a club might as well just watch Sunday football.

This club is going to the wall and quickly. So, let’s all stop acting excited because of a win to a poor side away and understand we are shite. Mainly shite because of of shite CEO and certainly shite owner!

Are you serious I though I'd covered it in my reply but here goes, the fans who sit in my area have paid to be able to use the suites I very rarely use them but do understand to sit where I want to sit I have to also pay for the privilege of the suites.
Did you miss my comment with regards hospitality that generates extra money for the club, coming from a nice cozy environment whilst eating and drinking to be lead down stairs to the lower seating in the main stand as the lift that I have been using with regards my recent problems with my hips certainly cant accommodate them.
As a venue for entertainment I want to chose where I sit and if that is not available I simply won't attend, very similar to going to watch any other form of entertainment if the seating is not to my liking I wouldn't attend why should I be uncomfortable for almost 2 hours because the venue would not offer better facilities that they have empty.
That was the initial point of offering cheap season tickets back in 2007, Julian wiseley thought if we could attract over a given figure it would be more beneficial to both Bradford City and fans to do so and has been a success ever since, so to take that option away would be stupid IMO, your now quoting something that might not happen opening the ground for 10,000 fans in a 24,000 seater stadium, we'll get 10,000 + with at times 2400 away fans wanting to attend, then the argument might arise if we close certain areas of our stadium would the away allocation be reduced I'd think the EFL would take a very dime view of that.
You worry too much about atmosphere etc if the product on the pitch is good enough that alone would generate a good atmosphere.
