The only way to create an atmosphere with only 6000 fans in the ground is to compact the space. It was great against Wycombe and guess what the players responded.
Maybe the answer, depending on number of ST renewals is to close the upper tiers and make all the lower tiers unreserved seating.
The capacity of all the lower tiers is about 12000 if we take back MR and give TL Dallas back to away fans.
ST reservations can be maintained by the club so that once it’s required, fans can reclaim their original seats if they so wish.
Fans that want to sit in specific seats whilst it’s unreserved will just have to arrive earlier.

To blame the fans that were there for last nights all too predictable shambles is just wrong, many have already voted with their feet (can't blame them) so those that still attend in hope deserve so much more from the players, the manager, and particularly those who own and run this club.

It is so difficult to keep getting enthused about this depressing, groundhog day existence at our club

I've seen us play worse than we did tonight. Seen game where we've created next to nothing but for a lucky break. Enough chances tonight to get an equaliser, but I think tonight sums up league 2 to a tee where no team really stands out in the division.
Personally I don't think we were owt special at Accrington, we didn't have to be to beat what was a woeful side. Forest Green are an improving side, I don't think we played well last night but I don't think it was as bad as other games I've seen this season. Central midfield killed us last night, it really needed a link between the front players and midfield and it never really happened, Walker did improve it but couldn't expect too much from him so early after coming back from injury.
Two interesting games coming up with differing fortunes. One going for autos and one in absolute freefall. Unfortunately both are on that pudding of a pitch so don't expect to see much football.

Terrible take after the years of constant regression. Even last year, didn't anyone seriously think we'd looked like a promotion team? I certainly didn't.

Mind you, if you can't understand the frustration and reasons why fans are quiet at games, or worse still, don't show at all then you're probably offthe opinion that we should just lap it all up and clap harder!

Oh absolutely, I know that the reason we are in this mess has nothing at all to do with the fans and everything to do with RSG. I'm just annoyed with myself that I've done it again like I did last year and started to believe we can still get out of this league when deep down, I know that we can't. Not sure what the motivation is for me now for the rest of the season. Right now, I'm thinking I might find something else to do on Saturday afternoon. No doubt I'll change my mind come the end off the week though because like most city fans, I'm a glutton for punishment.

If fans made a difference we would probably be in the championship. FGR had approx 50 fans and they won 2-0.

Our abject performances on the pitch are not down to you or any other supporter. Most supporters are naturally optimistic and want their club to do the best they can. Unfortunately this club runs on the CEO's BS and his PR claptrap and that's his priority. When it comes to what is really important, getting points on the board, we are sadly lacking and our natural optimism is just being knocked out of us slowly and surely.

I didn’t think we would gain promotion last year after about 10 matches. Although last season we were not losing we were boring and either scratched a win or drew, and lost games. It was so disappointing after the hype of having belief in Hughes. This season has followed the pattern of last season and probably worse. We just don’t have the mental strength to propel ourselves up the league. I don’t blame the manager or the players, I think there is something fundamentally wrong with the way this club is being run.

I didn't go last night, got back late due to the m62 but probably could have made it. But do you know what? I simply couldn't be arsed. The whole place, from the pitch to the performances, smacks of a club that, as the remit from Rupp shows, is just happy to make the numbers up as long as we don't go down.

It’s not about clapping harder. It’s about understanding the squad and the CEO plus owner. Understanding all are not up to standards. Yes, sometimes they will do a little good but in the most are shite.

He doesn’t! Just likes football like a little kid.

Bradford City in its current state he is clueless.
Gets excited like a little midget in a ball pool.

So your answer is to insult fellow supporters (not to their face though) who choose to get behind to team and "lap it up".

You are so clued up, for a guy who washes cars for a living. I'll tell you something Fordy I'll bet that Bronco, like me, wishes he was a little kid again. Stop insulting supporters via the safety of the Forum and grow a pair.

    Agreed.
Generally speaking the sides challenging are there because of good form in the first half of the season.
Since January the majority of sides have become a muchness, all capable on their day of beating each other.
Which in turn, opened the back door for us, unfortunately being a big part of that muchness, we can't put together the consistency required.

A lot of negativity in the stands last night, after conceding that crucial early goal last night it was understandable but not helpful.

Where have I insulted anyone or suggest that anyone should?

Your posts are usually pretty cryptic when replying to me but this one is just bizarre.

We were lucky to get a point against Doncaster, but played well against accrington, then back to the script last night. As soon as they got the corner, with our x player, pushing and shoving, I knew they would score.
