To be fair we don’t see Bobby day in and day out in training. It’s easy to say as a fan that he should be playing more but we get 20 minute glimpses. Alexander would be playing him if he felt he deserved it.

Using that analogy Smallwood must be like De Bruyne in training.

 

I honestly believe the players just can’t get up for home games and who can blame them.
The thought of playing on that quagmire in a stadium just a quarter full wouldn’t get my juices flowing either.
In contrast the away games are played on pristine pitches compared to VP in front of a concentration of away fans that make noise and get behind them.
It doesn’t take Einstein to work out why we are shite at home and have been for 3-4 years now.

 

It is our lack of consistency which has been going on for season after season. The only thing that is guaranteed is our home form will be non existent.

I was making plans to go on Saturday. I promised myself that if they played well and won tonight I would go. Those plans are in the bin along with any playoff hopes. We can’t put a run together playing like that!

They played without fear, and they deserved their win. That first goal has become a Bradford habit. We were asleep. Spent most of the first half on the back foot. I am just so fed up with empty promises.

 

I think you’ve listed the reasons why they were decent. Scored early, then soaked up everything we threw at them, and totally exposed us on the break. The midfield and forwards ran their socks off, and their defence put their arses on the line. I’d say that’s pretty decent.

 

FGR game plan.. quick goal, stick 11 men behind the ball.. job done great tactics.. why the hell we were playing the ball in the air when all their players are pretty much over 6ft..
