Not enough goal contributions from Gilliead and Smallwood. You can't have a team that creates so few assists and goals from central midfield.

People get over excited at Gillieads 'running around a lot' but it gets us no goals.

The decision to not invest in a strong central midfielder in January was absolutely criminal. Whoever made that decision should be fired.

 

spread it wide cross it from out wide repeat for 90 mins. It was not working what was Alexander thinking. Chapman showed a bit of class but what a disastrous performance, all huff and puff, no quality.

 

Fair play to Forest Green, Cotterill has turned them quickly into a competitive unit, fully deserved that win. Had midfield full of willing runners, something we simply didn't have.
Probably time to start planning for next season now.
