Rod you seem to be a tad bitter about people who are choosing not to renew? Or am I misreading your posts?

So why be the one to raise the prospect of a ‘kerfuffle’ then, when no one else had? You were the only person needlessly causing any kerfuffle.

imagine reacting so strongly to my mildly critical comment! I wasn’t angry at all - just a little bit bored of this being brought up again for the nth time.

Your response reads as far more angry than mine did. Insecurity issues, maybe?

Andy, I don't doubt for a minute that the rise in minimum wage will have a big impact on small businesses such as yourself. But for the club to be crying poverty because they're going to have to pay Sandra in admin an extra 60 quid a month when we've got players on thousands of pounds a week not even making the match day squad? Do me a favour.

People have to make decisions in life. As unhappy as l am with the performance of the team over several seasons, then l am a long term supporter of the club.
To be fair what other people do is their choice. If they now want to take up a range of alternative activities, then good luck to them.
I look at this as an opportunity to potentially get a better seat.

I thought that too for someone who concentrates on promoting the club it's at the very least a missed opportunity that only comes round once a year
Poor form from someone with any sort of PR background perhaps he couldn't justify it to himself
Reading posts on here from long term fans @JonButterfield@JonButterfield and @Dratsab taf@Dratsab taf who have decided enough is enough but will miss supporting the team in person is telling, how on earth are they going to attract new fans persuade the 50/50 fans to renew a big opportunity missed reflective of Mr Rupps attitude towards the club and its fans

As long as our ambition resembles that of Harrogate and Accrington Stanley I shall not be renewing, instead I shall pick and choose witch games to attend.Ive been a season ticket holder more than 30 years

This has saved me writing the same. I entirely agree. In my case there's also the fact that family no longer go and friends attending have gone from around 12 to 1. So after 27 years I won't be renewing.

I think our ‘ambition’ is to get promotion. Despite our size and level of support, then it is the inability to harness the funds and the support in an effective way. I agree the club has been underperforming for years. Realistically this club should be at the top end of League 1 and with some clever management could reach the Championship.

We are not renewing hardly been this season and feels like a toil going

but when do go next season maybe it will be because i want to again

Its not the money, just a good opportunity to stop doing something that i no longer enjoy, and its not results or quality of football

i just don’t think the club has the same identity anymore

    adios

I should not really be thinking about this but correct me if I'm wrong.
A few days ago the club ran a survey regarding the atmosphere section maybe relocating. Now the season ticket campaign starts Monday surely this is madness.
You purchase a ticket in the North West Corner during the early bird period only to find out you have to move into the lower kop were other supporters have already purchased their ticket as per normal not knowing it was designated to be the new atmosphere section.
Absolutely crazy situation for those effected if it becomes reality quite honestly an unbelievable move without prior knowledge of what's happening.
    Needs addressing that's for sure.

Maybe putting the tickets at £150-£500 and asking fans how much they want to pay between that is a good way of getting people who are skint to pay the minimal and people who have a bit more can put the money where their mouth is, is a good idea? It would of course rely on good will which I think a lot of us naively have with the club.

If that's correct then the 'ambition' doesn't match the 'vision' and actually seems completely at odds with it.

What a bizarre and somewhat contradictory response! You said I am the only person bringing it up, but then in the next sentence state it has been brought up for the nth time! Make your mind up!!

Every club has the "ambition" of promotion at the start of the season if they don't then they shouldn't be a club it's how do they achieve it
Our vision first and foremost is to balance the books, maintain sustainability anything else is a bonus
The whole ethos of the club is wrong that's why we are losing season ticket sales

I agree. I draw a distinction between the ambitions of the fans which is to get promoted after 5 years in the bottom tier and the actions of the owner and his CEO which is to run what they regard as a sustainable business .. in their eyes. It's difficult to reconcile those very different outlooks other than by the intervention of Lady Luck.

A bit of a similar situation myself. Only me as my lad is still at university. If it wasn't for the group of people I've sat around for years I probably wouldn't go, the bus ride in to an ever deteriorating city centre and a walk along the god awful Manningham Lane on your Tod isn't a particularly pleasant experience. A bit easier to take if the football is entertaining and the match day experience is good but everything feels so very flat. Couple that with an owner who doesnt care either way and a price hike and next season personally needs careful consideration.
