0 goals and 0 assists in 23 games for Hibs last season when he was fine then he had to have heart surgery in the summer after a heart problem was picked up in pre-season testing so only returned to the pitch at the start of January. Even before the heart issue he's only had 1 good season then the rest he's done nothing special. Taking out his spell at Swindon he's only got 17 goals in 118 appearances.

 

true but that's not my point, were over staffed because of the summer (and not moving on the likes of Derbyshire even if paying some of his contract up) and a lack of strategy to allow a buffer for jan, and in terms of these incomings, is Alexander actually getting a real say on it.

 

Yes aware . No clubs are spending money bar Wrexham , irrespective if their squad sizes. If there is money from investment from owners then it will be spent. Just look at the numbers this window , and need look no further.

A bloke sat by me on Saturday was convinced we are signing Lee Evans and Deight Gayle this week.

Fairly certain we only have 1 slot left in the squad registration slot, but I don't think that would have put him off. He was saying Evans had been released because he hasn't been good enough to get in the Ipswich squad..... nothing about him having MCL surgery in October.

 

Wonder who it was as we knew it wasnt Jake Young unless the buying club were allowing us to keep him until the end of the season, can't think of anyone else who'd command a fee, even Andy Cook is having an average season by his standards.

Lee Evans would have been a cracking signing.

 

He's been incredibly injury prone over the last few seasons and has just come back from surgery for an MCL injury. He's been released by Ipswich but is still training with them to get back to full fitness before looking for another club. It would be a hell of a risk taking him on, especially when we already have 2 croked midfield players in Walker and Pattison.

 

Sounds similar to the Longstaff situation.

For anyone wondering, we have submitted our squad lists for the remainder of the season and left 2 open slots if we'd like to bring in any players on a free. Although the way Alexander talked about squad size, I'm guessing we are done for the season.

 

Can we still bring in a keeper on emergency loan if Walker gets crocked?( Hope not!)
