    Our ticket sales look dire. Blocks B, E & F of the main stand mainly untouched. The Bradford end looks like they have reduced the sales to just 1 block due to take up and barely a few hundred in the lower Kop.

    I have to say I made up my mind walking back from the game last Tuesday that I wasn't going and I think there will have a fair few have done the same.

    I was disinterested in this game but then came across the info that Smallwood is banned due to two yellow cards.

    I'd like to see McDonald get a go and let's see if his passing can make an impact.

    I'm sick of Smallwood and his "no-look" passes and "round the corner" chips into no one and general hoofs up the pitch.

    He really has been an underwhelming signing for me. I was hoping for a much stronger impact from a championship midfielder dropping down into league two.

    I'm hoping McDonald puts on a good performance and then GA keeps him in the team and Smallwood on the bench for a while.

    Isn't what you are asking for pretty much exactly what happened against Derby last round? MacDs passing and composure was a breath of fresh air, helped by having Pointon and Chapman, actual footballers, to pass to.

    Didn't watch the Derby game but didn't McDonald play and played well then?
    A rare outing as he doesn't start very often, approx 5 times in nearly 30 L2 games is poor.
    Expecting him to want to leave at the end of Jan to go play for an actual footy team and not hoofball here.

    Was hoping to go, but it’s my sons birthday, and he said he doesn’t want to go and spoil his birthday. So going out for a meal instead. Thing is, if we do reach the final, we can’t even go to that, as we are away skiing.

    Wouldn't worry about that - we'd more than likely have to knock out a full strength League One side and that's if we get past Doncaster tomorrow. This current team winning 2 matches in a row in the same competition doesn't seem all that likely at present!

    Thankfully I am out of the country at the moment, so not having to face the dilemma of deciding not to go ……or er……not to go!

    An earlier kick off (7.30), mid week, is always a challenge.

    To say that it is a game between the worst two Yorkshire sides in the EFL, is a damning indictment.

    I can just see dull, boring football, between two sides who have lost the Will to win.

    Doncaster, clog dancing hard above the glass relegation trap door, may need to concentrate on the league more than we do!

    Expect a deflected own goal to decide a soulless match.

    Interestingly, at least 11 clubs have gone on to reach the Premier League after reaching the final of the EFL Trophy.

    I have not been to anyone of these micky mouse cups and do not intend to even if we get to the final
    No club in the football league have made a profit in putting these games on
    The expense of playing the games i/e floodlights catering turnstile person etc is more expensive than the income the clubs receive
    The football league should scrap this competition
