We are probably in the midst of the worst catch 22 situation ever. Owner not interested/won't invest, don't own anything tangible (mainly ground or training facilities), clueless people in charge of crucial positions, owner won't sell as we aren't an attractive enough proposition and the asking price is too high...repeat, repeat, repeat

And all the while, the fans are the victims season in & season out. It is wholly depressing and the near empty stadium the other night, the flat atmosphere, and the turgid football on show proved a turning point for the level of disappointment and disgruntlement amongst our fantastic fan base. The WoaP article by Jason McKeown was absolutely scathing, the city vent lads have started the ball rolling by organising a fan forum, and even the few deluded posters on here (naming no names but we all know who they are) have kept away from this forum since Tuesday as they know they are in a huge minority now and the whole thing in totally indefensible

What. A. Bloody. Shambles.

 

Agreat post Steve, says it all how most fans feel, personally i really do feel we are near the end game for the club iff no one steps in, what the future holds under this current ownership is relegation eventually after that the club has we know it would just not survive, it is a total shambles !

I barely stood up to be honest. Even when we score the apathy just pours out of me because there's absolutely zero connection with the club anymore.

 

I haven't got to that stage as yet, I did celebrate and shouted now lets get this lot done, unfortunately my last wish did not materialise.

 

It very much feels like some games under Hughes when lots of people described it as a “chore” to go to home games and the complete disinterest of fans who genuinely couldn’t be bothered to celebrate a last minute equaliser against a local rival

We sit right next to the away fans in MR so my celebration was more of a chance to rejoice by giving the Salford fans 2 fingers and a "tosser" wave, to return the compliment from their goal antics

 

It's perfectly clear that Rupp doesn't trust Sparks to spend the money wisely and that's why he isn't pouring funds into the club.

Pi$$ poor recruitment on the whole, leaving us with a mediocre team.

Fan engagement with the club is dropping faster than the underwear at one of Fordy's famous parties.

All in all its grim up north, now the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off.

 

If he didn't trust him he old get rid, he simply doesn't care. He's involved to protect his investment or what he thinks is his investment. He thinks he can afford to wait until his 10 million price tag is met, and it's up to us fans to show him his "investment" is worth nothing without us. If we have to force admin to do so then so be it

Can fume all you like about him, but it is pointless unless someone else wants to buy City. Still we can look forward to reinstated derby versus Avenue!

 

It's not pointless. If Rupp sees that his investment is at risk if the fans revolt and enough get involved in public protests and also refuse to buy a ST for next season then he may decide to sell now and let someone who gives a shit run the club.

 

I can't find anything to say how many times a football club could once again get out of trouble by entering administration/CVA if there is a limit, but going into administration/CVA for a fourth time might not go down to well with the EFL, at least Bradford City come top in administration/CVA league : 1983, 2002 and 2004.
