Far too many fans of every club use dodgy firesticks, it's not a problem we can address or one that is isolated to us.

72/73 season I started following City.
The lowest they've finished over this period is18th twice in 2010-2012.
Its quite possible that this team could finish lower, thus technically this season could be the worst City side I've witnessed in over 50years.
And RS is telling us they're getting the recruitment this season right.
I'm not surprised fans are showing their apathy to visit VP.

 

A good point raised on twitter, if the club include season ticket holders in crowd numbers where they have attended or not, should season ticket holders receive loyalty points whether they attend or not?

 

Loyalty points should be applied when purchasing your season ticket for league home fixtures not every time you attend an home game.
I've always thought it was stupid.
Let's face it there are hundreds of reasons in life why you are unable to attend a match not just because we are crap and the entertainment is vertually non existent in my view.

 

That's worse than I thought. There's no more than 4,000 there.

FWIW, none of my group of 6 attended last night, and that wasn't anything weather related.

Nobody can genuinely say they're entertained by or enjoy the matchday experience at present.

I would say bored shitless.

I stayed at home, watched on Ifollow and turned off not long after half time. Even my wife asked if I was watching the football and when I asked why, she said you are normally shouting at the laptop but I was silent as were most in VP as well as was regularly noted by Radio Leeds. Even when we equalised it felt a bit like that late Jamie Walker goal that hardly anyone cheered.

What soul this club had, has been systematically drained out by those that are running it. I don't think they are meaning to do that, but we are just not being run as a forward thinking football club. We are at best, a recruiter of mediocre football players who we give lengthy contracts to. I dread to think how much money we have actually spaffed in the last 3 seasons. Probably near £9-10 Million perhaps? And we are literally treading water.

We can't even use the excuse that the players are unable to cope with big crowds, as we are definitely not having anywhere near the declared attendances. Last night it looked around 5-6K at best so no pressure on the players and they still served up that dross.

We need new ownership and leadership asap otherwise we will continue to regress as a club and where will that lead us?

 

Build a new stand on the skircoat road side,and it would probably hold around 15.000.It's already the largest capacity in the national league.A very underrated ground.Mind ,the pitch is crap,not helped by sharing with egg chasers.

 

There's even scope to build a two tier stand on Skircoat Road and make it approaching 17,000. It's a lovely ground, always been one of my faves, but more so since they rebuilt three sides.

 

15 mins down the road.....always been accused of being a Halifax Bantam as always get off there on away trips....

 

Better craft ale pubs in Fax too.....

And cheaper than Gibb draining the club of half a million in rent every year and start to rebuild the club rather than the current slow death

 

I am sure the many businesses in Halifax would love the business generated. It will need some work to get it up and running.

 

I think this is right, everything that you'd tick off as an indicator of a low attendance coming up happened on Tuesday with the weather, recent performances, not an attractive opposition and Tuesday night games are always lower no matter what. It would be interesting to compare that with the Harrogate home game a couple of years ago which was another very low attendance. The 'official attendance' was only 1 higher than Accrington and I wouldn't be surprised if that is only because some people had tickets and didn't bother to get them refunded. If results don't change I'd expect the attendances for the Forest Green and MK games will be very low as well especially the Forest Green match where they will likely bring less than 100 plus added to that they both clash with Champions League nights which knock a few more off.
