His general view on the club has been proved fairly accurate. For any long term progression this club may have visions of, the only hope we have of any of it happening is new owners. Someone to breathe life into the stagnant corpse.

You can’t sell season tickets on that kind of entertainment. We have hardly attended any home matches this season, some of our lack of attendance is health problems, but the majority is lack of entertainment. We opted for the DD system to pay for our ST this season which ends in March. We are paying £67 per month for both executive seats with suites. As things stand at the moment we will not renew them. We will lose our lovely view and comfort seats. We have had a season ticket since they opened the upgraded MR so not sure how long, but a long time. It just feels like an end of an era and it will take sheer guts, money and determination to turn this club around.

 

I still don’t get the fact that some on here give Sparks a big portion of the credit for all the commercial improvements when I presume we have Longo and his team doing most of the donkey work but then he has no accountability for the shit state of the football side

Fordy has criticised the owners whoever they are, he wanted Mason out when he was in charge. It’s easy to just say resign to everyone when you need an end game.

 

That also must include the appointment of Longo, had it gone wrong he would rightly be criticised.

It’s the fact the commercial side always appears to be a joint effort(CEO & CCO) but the shit state of the football side(the only bit that 99% of us are interested in) is not his problem and is solely down to managers not getting the best out of the “quality” players that we apparently keep acquiring.

 

The 14-15k season tickets we have been selling will be under 10k next season.

I think I have always been vocal enough on here of my opinion of Sparks. Came as a nobody from a Rugby league background, and was promoted through the ranks very quickly, probably thanks to others seeing the light and leaving the business rather than his own success. All the while he was gladly taking all the plaudits, and giving himself a good old pat on the back, the self righteous prick. But then goes into hiding when everyone sees the light and stays there, except for the odd staged interview with Parker of the T&A, who is a frustrating figure in his own right

Sparks was always a car crash waiting to happen. No rigorous recruitment process to find a CEO. He was the cheap option and now we suffer a slow death at the hands of a man/boy who cries ageism rather than admit he is not good enough.
