Agre with all that but can you trust the powers that be to do what your saying ?????

I mean all the deadwood that have been signed has been recruited by this team so what makes you think the next window will be better ??????
And is any of that money actually gonna be spent on a rebuild anyhow ?????

Debateable for sure, but I trust GA more than any manager since Stuart in 2017.

Cook, Walker, Vernam, Novak....all January additions that wernt half bad.

Its the same waffle every season though, give up, wait until the summer and rebuild! WASH - RINSE - REPEAT - I am sick to death of hearing it! The January window is an opportunity to put things right. I bought my season ticket for the season.

No longer having dross like Oliver and Osadebe as 'options' is a squad improvement for me.

I agree, my only caution on this is one of trust; If GA is allowed to use an improved budget hopefully this month if not in the summer. My trust bucket is just about empty and I will need some convincing.

...and three of them have/had quality but we were/have been rationed by the number of games they were available due to being injury prone. Were/are they value for money?

Bless you, my day has instantly improved ;)
I totally agree with your comment you bought your season ticket for the season, we can't write half of it off and the club has an obligation to all the fans to come out of January in a stronger position - both for the remainder of this season and the stepping stones for next one.
Remember this was also GA pledge for January window

That's a typo, I meant he was decent. I just hope he gets chance to settle because I think some are building him up to be something that might be hard to live up to.

Don't forget, he's still only ever had 6 decent months in his entire career. Other than his spell here there's not one club he's been at that rates him.

Absolutely but how does 'less' improve our ability to win games? That's the debate we're having here.

Ok, I'll give you those, but Walker, Novak & Vernham all spent ridiculous amounts of time out injured.

What else can we do ? Realistically we aren't getting in the playoffs unless we get 40 points from 19 games, and we aren't going to wake up tomorrow and suddenly become Stockport. Win the battles you can win, and giving the new manager a free hit window to move on dross and rebuild in the summer is without doubt a new tactic. Lets see if that works.

Well we save money on our exited players which in theory gives us the opportunity to bring in better players. However, our trust in the club to be able to do that is questionable. Plus whether that money will be saved for “something or someone else” is also on the cards.

I honestly don’t think GA will go along with that. He has stated categorically that he prefers to buy players who are committed to the club. He has made an exception with Wright mainly due to others convincing him that this player is very committed and a good player. I have no idea what happened to Hughes, he stated that he only wanted players who had played a positive role with other clubs before coming here?

    I completely agree.

And once those "better players" walk through the door I'll be more than happy to back up the theory that we've improved.

At the moment, I don't believe that we have.

It's odd isn't it, that the people who seem to think Wright is going to save our season based on a 4 month purple patch with us last year, appear to be the same people who think we should get rid of Young because his 16 goals this season might be a fluke.

Charles Vernam!! Another name in the potential returning player wild guess pot. Or perhaps another now Grimsby man, Eisa, if Young is sold?

Vernam looks like had his best spell with us but declined since and hardly played (injury?) and we have Wright and Chapman, but Eisa scored another two last week.
