    ^^^Post of the year
Fans will choose not to renew based on the fact we are shite and there’s zero entertainment. It won’t be because the price goes up £10 a month.

Maybe you should set fron 1991 when we were in the bottom league rather than 99 when we were in the Premier league?

Reluctant to say go higher based on a terrible terrible product and when sport is ultimately entertainment we ain’t going to be getting that on our budget, with another Dinosaur manager on pitch that resembles the moon from about Jan to March.

However if there was some commitment from the club to say we are going to really invest here’s our plan please match us. I think they’ll get buy in.

it won’t it will be a season ticket campaign based on nostalgia because truthfully the future is bleak.

Inflation is 4%. Its a month on month calculation so December figure is Jan to Dec, Nov is Dec ti Nov etc

It was 11% last year but not for long, that was its peak. By summer it's likely to be back under 3%.

Junior doctors accepted a new multi year pay deal in 2019, so they have had rises. They just want more now. Probably quite rightly, but to say they haven't had a rise in 10 years, and that is why they are striking, is factually incorrect.

Well I’m discussing the lack of price increases at City over the last 10 years and whether that has contributed to our decline. It’s not just about this years potential increase.
Again transparency is key. If the club can prove our playing budget was equal to or better than all the promoted teams over the last 6 seasons we’ve been in the bottom league then we know the problem is with management choices and recruitment.
If we’ve had lower budgets then we know prices probably need to go up or Rupp needs to invest. If neither happens we’ll end up in the National league in next 3 seasons

We have an overbloated non playing staff as RS continues to empire build. I think we may have more non playing staff than actual players

I would expect us to have more non playing staff than players.

    Medical
    Recruitment
    Commercial
    Maintenance and ground staff
    Ticketing
    Media and marketing

All departments that need staffing. Not going to adequately run a club with staffing levels lower than a 25 man playing squad.

So how many non playing staff should City have? Bearing in mind we need ticket office staff, finance staff, marketing and sales, ground staff, physiotherapists, manager, coaches. Every club will have more non playing staff than players.

The first part of Parker’s bull5hit piece in the T&A is the start of the season ticket ‘sales pitch’ - don’t believe a word that comes out of that Snake Oil salesman. If his lips are moving, he’s lying!

I'd be all for a price increase, if that then meant an improvement in the product I was watching once a fortnight. I have zero confidence that I'd see that though and an increase in price and a similar product to this season probably means fewer renewals in the following season I expect.

I'm also far from comfortable with Rupp's supposed sustainability doctrine, the way I see it, he's expecting to ultimately make a profit on something that he's undeniably degraded and that fans (plus commercial and football side of the business profits) have actually funded. I'd be willing to pay more if he was attempting to at least invest enough to get the club back into the position it was in when he bought it. There's scant evidence that we're seeing that though.

I'm torn between sticking it out and hoping that things change (either through luck or because the club is sold) or remove my support entirely and wash my hands with City under Rupp. I doubt that I'm alone in considering whether continuing to watch City is worth my time and money, even if it is cheap, it's honestly been more of a chore than something to look forward to this season.

The Club will know its data and set prices accordingly. There are a potential 22 -23,000 seats to make revenue on, including ST sales and home match purchases. The product - match day experience - is the balancing variable. Given the so so nature of the latter to date, unless the Club really is financially in jeopardy, an increase in line with inflation would be just about palatable, in my view.

I've been one of those that laughed at the 'nobody will renew' posts we've had season after season after season, but for the first time I'm teetering.

I might just not bother renewing.

The club is an empty shell. It's not a specific player or the manager, it's the club. If the owner can't be arsed, neither can I.

I suspect our budget has been better or on a par with the majority of clubs promoted out of league 2 since we came back down.

It's down to poor leadership and recruitment.

Last season was a great opportunity to get promoted, but somehow Hughes managed to bottle it and blow our chances.

The bloated summer recruitment that left us with far more quantity than quality has knocked us way back and provided us with a shocking season.

4 home wins so far is a disgrace, and hardly entices punters to want to pay more for the shoddy product on offer.

I know quite a few people who have been ST holders for many years seriously quitting this summer and taking a break from it all.
