We are waiting to see how the rest of the season goes tbh. It is not the money even if they put it up, but up to now we have been 2 steps forward 3 steps back. We are showing signs we want to try and get in the playoffs even though it might be a stretch. So far this January is shaping up. Every time I see GA and hear him speak I become more confident he can get all the players going. He is also making the hard choices about who can stay and who unfortunately we have to send them on their way.

As others have said I would be happy to pay more BUT in the knowledge that the people spending the money actually knew what they were doing. Up to date I cannot , hand on heart, say that our recruitment team has delivered.

I like the cut of GA's gib more than any manager since parky. Give him time and he could be the one.

Could we sell 10,000 at an average £380? Possibly, if one point off the CC, hot running water in men's and a chance of the game still on after a cold snap, few days of rain in winter. We can only dream.

The empty seats in the suites are the ones for the banquetting facilities, so if businesses are buying those and not using them they are paying for the meals as well

Totally agree, only thing I would add is that when/if they introduce it they should release all tickets for general sale so everyone has a fair chance of moving to a seat in their price range and sit in a group otherwise you could end up with those that can not afford the higher prices not being able to get seats together as a group

Club should be paying current season ticket holders to renew, had 1 for 40 years, think of all the Saturday night misery

The fact is that football and City are not immune to that factor called ‘inflation’. Costs are going up, be it players, management, staff salary, utilities, etc. The club has to pay the going rate, otherwise it will fall behind. So an increase in the season ticket price, in line with inflation, is maintaining the current purchasing power, not increasing it.

Inflation increase would put price up to about £205

    Please show your workings out.

Cheap tickets started in around the 2008-2009 season and were priced at £149 I think?
So using BOE target inflation rate of 2% each year it might reach £200 today but inflation has been at 11% for last few years and previously above the BOE target so I’d suggest a price closer to £300 would be fair.

I want evidence that the club need the budget as high as it currently is.

Is there any evidence that money, not incompetence, is the issue?

I would accept it if we had the 8th highest budget, for example, and were therefore expecting the club to overachieve. That would be unfair on the club.

Until I hear that, though, I will assume we're top 7 budget-wise and even a small decrease in spending power should still see us with enough to achieve a play off place as an absolute minimum.

this year price was £198 inflation currently 4% so new price equals about £205.

not sure what anything before has to do with this year price rise

In 2007/08, adults paid £138 for a Season Ticket.

So if you look at the Bank of England Inflation Calculator https://www.bankofengland.co.uk/monetary-policy/inflation/inflation-calculator You can Put £138 in the 2007 option and see what it would have been in March 2023 (when the current deal for this season was released). The figure is £217.43.

So the price of Season Ticket using inflation is pro rata is cheaper than 2007.

The figures available at present, based on £198 in March 2023, then in December 2023 (the most recent figures available) an inflation linked increase, would bring the cost to £203.18.

I would guess that if inflation stayed the same @Storck@Storck figure of £205 for 2024/5 would be reasonable. If you reset at the 2007 figure of £138, then a sum of around £225 would reflect the increase in inflation over the 17 year period.

What if you input the 1999 price of £300?

If a lot don’t renew then not increasing prices would be financial suicide.
