If you mean a certain gentleman that drives a car with the reg big gob. he was willing to lend it interest free from what i was told, but his partner in crime demanded it was done on a commercial style loan , or not at all.

let me put it in simpler terms then. we had joint owners, one was willing to lend the club the money interest free.
the other would only accept said loan if the 9.5% was applied.

Yes this is well documented that the loan was offered interest free but was only accepted at a commercial rate

if only we all had the ability to turn a few hundred pound loan from our mothers into a multi million pound business.
He may be loud and brash, but earns my respect for climbing that ladder.

Because the philosophy is to live within our means, no investment from outside... it's mentioned a lot

I thought the McBurnie money covered that

Yes he was, player of the tournament and highest scorer ( from memory) .

It was to enable them to run the runes over him I believe. They decided not to invest.

That doesn't mean we don't have an overspend to contend with. Like most clubs at our level the only way to survive is either a good cup run or through player sales. The McBurnie sell on fee is the only reason we are anywhere near self sufficient

Question, how do you loan the club money, when you own the club? Surely you put money in at your own risk, to get the club in the best position, then sell on for a profit? I know this is a transfer page and sorry to bring this up, but I can't get my head around this loaning his asset money, when he owns the thing?

So Sparks is putting in more money into the squad than we are bringing in to make it more competitive? Speculating to accumulate? Well.. fair play, credit where it's due I suppose

It's a directors loan to the company which is to help the running costs of the club however, it can't be used to increase the wage bill for the salary cap management protocol (EFL's FFP)

I'd be surprised if they didn't have one, it would be very bad negotiations from them if they didn't get one as part of the deal unless we paid a bigger up front payment in exchange for no sell on

I thought there was a certain amount each year an owner could put in within the rules... Has it changed or does it maybe need to be be given rather than a loan?

He was released. We didn’t pay a transfer fee. Why would FGR have a ‘sell on’ clause, if he wasn’t offered a contract? https://www.fgr.co.uk/news/retained-list-confirmed
