Really are we surprised? Funny how two forums got into a right lather about a Twitter rumour.

Although for the “ Young Signs” thread it was comedy gold!

At times we go off topic to make a relevant point to the thread title, as you say what I find funny is when you see a poster complaining about a thread going off topic they are posters who have actually had very little input to the forum in general, if it was up to these rare posters the footfall on the forum would not be worth @king karl@king karl and Co running it.

Seemingly so. The SLP (south London press) did a podcast yesterday and said from their sources JCH would favour a Charlton move, but the same source said he is open to waiting until the summer and testing how much he can get as a free agent. I'd imagine Wrexham can match Charltons offer, just what he'd prefer and when. If Wrexham go up, they'd still be interested but he can probably ask for more money in L1.

Seems like the Peterborough relationship isn't too rosey? They always transfer list every player in their final 12 months, and they are trying to push any move on so they get some money for their asset. They've had history of phasing out people who won't sign extensions or leave for money.

Wonder if Osadebe is out of squad because we don’t want to risk a lucrative deal being made?

Nowt to with us but how many have Carlisle brought in so far this window? I suppose it is possible to be proactive.

True, but you can't really be proactive without an interested owner. It's kinda got to come from the top.

'Right, everyone, we're hitting January as hard as possible, from day one. Get your targets ready'

Any other approach from the top will invariably result in a slower window with less impetus.

If Young is sold, would you trust the club to spend it wisely? With Richards, Young, Pointon, Pattison (if he can get fit) and Lewis, we should be looking to build a team around them for the future. Ditch the old guard and get pace in the side. Unfortunately Alexander seems reluctant to put faith in youth so I can’t see that happening.

Get it wrong in January and I fear we will be sucked into the bottom two fight. Get some fit, fast and healthy younger players with ambition in the squad now !

No way are we getting sucked into a relegation battle. I don't think we've much chance of challenging at the other end either.

I'm afraid we are in for a boring second half of the season treading mid table waters.

There's a word for that but I'm not going to use it because it isn't something we accept at this football club. Allegedly.

I do know actually. Does that mean you are imune from criticism or humorous remarks or comments? If it does it makes you come over a little childish don't you think? Most people on here do have a sense of humour and can give and take. The really sad thing is that having supported City for 50 years we have probably met.

Gent should have one job, ending 30th June then be made redundant- clear the decks.

As for this window, no permanent signings and plenty of exits should be the aim.

After that, no player over 23 whose contract ends in June should be offered a new one.

I don't think a relegation fight is on the cards this season but the loss of Walker and Patterson really shows we have nothing in reserve regarding midfield creativity.
Also the sooner Smallwood is taken off set piece duty the better.
10 corners at Crewe and 8 yesterday absolutely nothing to show we must improve and punish the opposition from set plays.

I am sure the opposition look at our set piece record and decide that they can foul us give away corners and nothing happens.

If that is the case, why do we give so many free kicks in dangerous areas and corners when you consider our record of defending them?
