T&A are saying that Young will be recalled after the Crawley game tomorrow..... Young injury incoming knowing our luck.

Weird month ahead. I'm expecting GA to be ruthless and maybe have 7 or 8 out, 3 or 4 in. Then see what we do with Young. If he's not in the squad on the 6th, we're waiting for bidders and then maybe by the final week we have a kitty to spend? If he's in the squad on the 6th, he's here for the season as Swindon can't afford him.

I hope he is ruthless. The excesses of MH has to be curtailed. Quality over quantity 8 days a week. The incomings will be interesting ? If there is a scintilla of doubt from Young then he should be sold. Simple as that as the last thing we need is a sulker, I hope he sees the glaring opportunity either way. He has to fit the system he will need to know that. It’s then up to him to uproot Smith?

Only way I see Pointon leaving in this window is short term loan to the National League or to a club like Barnsley who want to take a punt on him but he'll play in the U21s for them for now or loan him out straight away to another club in league 2/top National League.

Yeah I suppose a Barnsley-type team might add him to their development squad, but do they generally pay for those types of players?

    Bobby is 20 next week.

I'm not really seeing the value for someone as old as that with 8 starts. If he was 17 turning 18, maybe.

Apparently we are linked to Harry Smith the Sutton striker along with FGreen and Mansfield , he's scored 10 goals and had 3 assists in 25 games plus 2 red cards.

The guy who celebrated in front of us when he scored for Leyton Orient down at their place a year or two back.

Graham Alexander is very familiar with Jake Youngs friend Dan Kemp from his time at MK Dons. Dan Kemp is obviously on loan at Swindon and could be recalled by MK. If he isn’t in MK’s plans could we see both Young and Kemp sharing the same taxi to Bradford? Now that would make things very exciting, 29 goals between them this season. Wow.

No he isn’t familiar with Dan Kemp. Do need to do your homework first before making such a sweeping statement. . He never saw him play for MKD and was only there 4-5 weeks before Kemp joined Swindon during the close season after Kemp returned from Hartlepool after a season long loan there. Alexander was managing MOTHERWELL whilst Kemp was at Hartlepool .

We will end up with neither of them. I suspect Mike Williamson will fancy Kemp back at MK, and I reckon Young will be sold next month.

Are we thinking loans only for this window? That's fine as long as we can improve in our needed areas.

Kemp is a fantastic young player but with MK in the playoffs right now, would be stunned if they did not recall him in order to maintain that the second half of the season.

Kevin I will explain. Someone said Bobby P is not ready for div 2 etc etc. He is better than Osadebe who is not ready for the Cornwall under 9s league so I think Mr Pointon, could play at that level if not higher... just my opinion but from what I have seen Bobby is ready.. Hope thats a bit clearer?

I've been thinking the same for some time but assumed, wrongly, that GA had loaned Kemp out because he didn't rate him. It would indeed be an exciting development if it came off.

Jon, I think you will find that the only place Bobby Pointon’s going is Crewe tonight.

Managers are very familiar with all their players, regardless of whether they play or not. Alexander was appointed by Mk Dons on 27th May, Kemp didn’t go to Swindon until 18th July. Read that again.
