Disappointed with a point against Morecambe but we can’t win them all. I’d like to never see Osadebe again

Xmas fixtures always strange - look at some of the results today ... Good fight back , still in 10th and well placed for the 2024 'big push' - some teams above us now looking vulnerable. Stockport match will be interesting

 

Absolutely we are right in the mix

 

Well for the neutral, great game! Absolutely the fair result, we were terrible the first half and fair play to Morecambe they completely had the better of us.

Osadabe was shocking and Odour clearly showed he should have been the first choice - poor from GA on that.

Second half much, much better. Deserved a point and so close from Cook’s header. Halliday (defo MotM), Gillead, Smallwood, Cook and Odour were much better - although Richie’s set pieces were poor, we missed Walkers.

Intrigued to hear GA’s comments on todays bench which I expect Raynor will ask….I’ll give him credit for whatever was said at HT and also making the change. A draw after the run we have had is decent enough….

 

Great second half.

Shame we were overrun in the first half. Odour was a real positive there, especially if the Walker/Pattison/Chapman absences continue.

Let's take that second half into the game on Friday.

 

Given the first half performance and being 2-0 down at halftime, I’ll take a point today. If it’s Osadebe’s last game for us then that’s a bonus.

 

Point gained after a poor start.

Somewhat unlucky first goal. Can happen to anyone.

Second half was much better because Gilliead, in particular, but also Oduor got on the ball more meaning Halliday and Richards had the ball further up the pitch rather than relying on big balls up the pitch.

In a game of small margins, Smallwood had a poor game, not accurate enough with him passing and awful set pieces.

Pleased for Brad to get the equaliser. We just didn't put enough good quality balls into the box. Criminal really when there's two good headers in Oliver and Cook in the box.

 

lots of games like that were we drew or lost a game like that in the. past when we have been 1 nil up. It's a great recovery but at this level you cannot give the ball away cheaply. Good to see us come back from 2 nil down well done boys..Pattison has got to be full of the flu- covid -ebola- -plague or the Nora Norris virus.. onwards and upwards.

 

He has good athleticism and is dynamic in his play. Delivery is OK. His positioning, decision making and consistency are poor, but that's typical for a young and inexperienced player. He could develop well, but do we have the luxury of carrying development players...?

 

How do you change your 'pretend name' on your profile ?

 

I would say it's about balance in the team and getting the mix of older and younger lads - albeit all need to contribute!

Halliday has done well but he really benefits from the solid play of Gilliead. They complement each other well. Unfortunately, Richards doesn't have that complementary player on his side.

 

Disapointing to not win even at 2-0 down nothing at all fell right for us .......... there first goal our chance at the start of the 2nd wjen our own player kept it out
Hopefully now Osadabe will be gone in January hes woeful

As for the 3 minutes injury time that included subs and booking for time wasting but hey are any of shocked at the refs display ?????

 

It's fine being more direct but that first half was just complete aimless hoofball with no interest in playing the ball on the floor whatsoever. Played completely into Morecambe's hands who set up perfectly to deal with it.

Second half was better as we got the ball down a bit more and tried to work some openings.

Hopefully Alexander has learnt some lessons today, one being Osadebe should be nowhere near a matchday squad again.

 

Tbf he did explain why Odour doesnt start but surly there is someone better than Osadabe ??

Totally agree. Summarised it as I felt it went as well.

 

Chill your bones. We have just played a team at home we should be beating if we are serious. At any level you can’t really give a team a 2 goal head start unless you are Man City & the likes.

Yes, we did well to make it 2-2 but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. We are still a poor side.
