Young potentially to Oxford - If so, then it has to be 7 figures minimum.

I too can also see Chapman going, although, Id personally want to keep him as he offers something different to the rest of our attackers

We could be set for making a lot of money in January, Id like to hope that the money is used wisely on one or two quality signings rather than a bunch of mediocre loans

If Young does go to Oxford then don't expect a big fee. I think the money will be tied up in any sell on clause.
Young hasn't pulled up any trees apart from his spell at Swindon. Even then his form has been hot and cold.
For me, any club looking to buy are still taking a big risk on a relative unknown quantity.
So, we won't command a big fee now, but if he proves himself with Oxford, that's when a big money will come into play.

I think losing any Swindon player to Oxford is their worst fear so I suspect this is the opposite of wishful thinking! If we are not desperate for money it would make more sense to get him in the squad here - rotating with Cook and Moore.

Totally agree that we won't receive a big fee as the majority of any transfer will probably be tied up in clauses, but whatever figure is defined as not a big fee would still probably be big to us and if used correctly could play a big part in adjusting our squad, also just to add IMO there is no way L2 top scorer or wherever he stands at in January is been given away for peanuts.

Why? Makes perfect sense to me. Why risk rocking the boat here and get a decent fee.

 

I dont see why any potential fee for Young should be less than a million. For some reason, our fan base is content with recieving peanuts for promising strikers.

If we do sell him in January, it should be for 7 figures, with some of that money being reinvested straight back into the squad.

 

I'd be shocked if we got a fifth of that.

You're sticking a £m price tag on someone who has scored just over a dozen goals over half a season in League Two.
