I understand but misleading supporters never ends well. Their running costs are not exorbitant but their turnover is still below what they need, so something has got to give.

 

From what I took from the clip (only watched until 14 mins or so) is that their CEO is fairly sure Young is being recalled to City, adding only when pressed that they would like to keep him. He sounded more optimistic about Kemp, and trying to keep him.

Reading between the lines elsewhere it looks like Swindon owner's recent financial bung was just that, and they have been told to review and renegotiate all their outgoings and cut their cloth accordingly.

A few on the their fan's forum believe Austen is taking a large proportion of the playing budget and want him gone in Jan.

 

It’s an interesting read, but let’s be honest , they have no money. Add to that possible points deductions for share allocation skullduggery …..who knows?

 

He knows he’s coming back here and he’s response that he will come back on loan after being purchased by another L1/2 club was telling ! Zero chance!

No he didn’t he was subbed, in general play , had an injury the week before.
He’s not going back to Swindon , your CEO admitted it indirectly in the fan forum last week .

What are your thoughts on Young? Is his form just a purple patch or did he look capable of sustaining a good run for the season?

Watch this clip …from 3 mins . I watched the entire Wimbledon game last week, he was injured LAST WEEK , I saw the tackle , and SHOULD NOT have played Saturday . He hasn’t trained all week and wasn’t even fit. Why was he picked, perhaps you could explain that away?

We have had our share of a manager risking OUR players , it looks like yours doesn’t mind risking other clubs players knowing they are being returned?

I really don’t know what you’re trying to say. He played last Saturday and went off in the 2nd half injured - that’s all I said. He got a fair whack at Wimbledon and May well not have been 100%. We tend not to believe everything Flynn says. He’s got in the habit of throwing players under the bus to avoid his own failings - probably why half of them look disinterested v Barrow.

 

He is a strange one I’ve got to say. Scores in batches then goes off the boil for a while. He was dropped for a few games before he came on as sub away at MK and scored - that goal set him off again. Last couple of games he’s done very little. Definitely a confidence player.

 

He definitely looked too have ability while he was here and scored a couple of great goals in cup competitions but never really kicked on and then fell out with the manager.

Forest Green had good things to say about him though.

 

So you claim your manager is spinning the injury , yet then say it DID occur (“A fair whack” ) the week before . He started injured and should never have been selected . He wasn’t injured during Saturdays game, he was pretty badly injured 7 days BEFORE.

You haven’t explained why he actually played completely unfit. Only 60% in your own managers words or is that spin too? It says a lot when some on your own forum say he was the worst player on the field. Not surprising why is it?

 

I don’t think it’s up to me to explain whether Young gets picked or not or is injured or not. How am I supposed to know. I’m just like you, a fan.

 

Tbf, he’s not done a thing apart from half a season with us. A lot will depend on where he’s played and the formation played - and that’ll apply wherever he ends up playing.
