I agree this is just daft. Charlton was it, that did it before?

the best way is just to boycott the game. An empty stadium looks hideous when they announce a 14k crowd and caterers won’t be happy when they are binning food cos nobody turned up.

I really don’t think throwing tennis balls is the right thing to do here. Childish and most likely not going to be enough thrown to have any sort of impact.

Here’s an idea, if we are winning at HT, stay for the second half. If we are losing at HT then simply don’t return to your seats or get up and walk out. If we are drawing then flip a coin…. ;)

    Reading: Nothing
    Bury: Nothing
    Southend: Nothing
    Scunthorpe: Nothing
Sheffield Wednesday: Owner stopped funding the club.

It's not quite as straightforward as this person makes out and the reason these clubs got new owners wasn't just down to fans throwing tennis balls onto the pitch.

New owners aren't necessarily the prize.

Engagement from Rupp has been achieved before, and can again.

Simple things which do not contravene the ground regulations, which throwing things on to the pitch certainly does, is reasonable.

Boycotting the food, and retail would give a serious message. Someone suggested going to the counter, ordering food/drink, then walk away, so that the kiosks have items which they cannot sell and that lawful chaos ensues.

Similarly flood the shop with browsers, but purchase zilch.

    Good.

A few hundred walking out or boycotting won't do anything to make anyone sit up and notice - crowds always falter during the colder months anyway.

There are too many opposing views to orchestrate anything collectively so a few hundred tennis balls on the pitch will send a loud and clear message. And that'll just be the beginning.

Probably more balls will hit other fans than actually reach the pitch

It should be Sparks that is the target for protests NOT Rupp. Is there a touch of xenophobia about this?

I'm concerned with the footballing side of things, going back to the playoffs where Hughes blew it.

The summer recruitment had a scattergun approach when we only needed 3 or 4 quality additions and I had never least looked forward to a new season kicking off as this August.

Once again a manager was handed a decent budget and along with the head of recruitment completely messed up.

Having said all this, I am not at a stage where we should be having mass walkouts during games or the very childish throwing of tennis balls.

Don’t agree with lobbing anything on the pitch during a game.

Do think boycotting all kiosks sends a message; but there are those that can’t resist overpriced food and drinks.

Oh come off it, they're both responsible for the dismal state of the club and xenophobia has nothing to do with it.

We was on the verge of the championship and Sparks was nothing to do with the calamity that went on after that was Rahic and Rupp sat back and let the chaos go on :(

I aint defending Sparks at all these last few years have simply not been good enough but we wouldnt be in this situation had Rupp not acted sooner :(

Btw i really dont think any kind if protest will work our fanbase or a big majority have simply given up

We are in a precarious position as it is. I would say we can’t not support the team no matter how hard that is at the moment due to poor performance.. We have a new manager who is trying to find the right pieces to put together. For goodness sake let’s just give him a few weeks to see if he can get this right. If we are to play a pressing game fitness is of the utmost importance. That is something that can be rectified.
