How many clubs install a caretaker manager that has already been sacked previously

Maybe Kev is applying for the job, but can’t stand the media interest. So goes back to playing while a decision is reached.

This would be funny if it wasn't happening at our club.

Sparks is hiding his raging incompetence under the guise of "this is a very important appointment" despite the previous four appointments being just as important.

He thinks supporters are stupid and will buy his nonsense but thankfully most see through it. Fair play to McDonald who has had enough and wants to go back to the job he signed to do as opposed to being thrown under the bus by the hierarchy.

Unfortunately for Sparks, McDonald's decision and the need to appoint a new caretaker has forced his hand into providing a statement and showing this process up for what it is, a shambles.

Otherwise, Sparks would've been happy to plod along without saying a word.

Or maybe, just maybe, when he said he didn't want the job long term and wanted to continue playing he meant it.

Or Bristol, or Grimsby or Lincoln, or Sheff Wednesday or the next club to sack a manager

    He clearly isn’t.

He’s no fool. He will get paid more as a player and it’s more safe for him. Plus he can learn about management while he plays. Doing his Badges etc.

Also would you trust Sparks not to sack him to protect himself like he tends to do.

Yes I'm mistaken but why McDonald is still in charge for a game that is hardly important I thought it a good chance to stretch his old legs ;).

He's got his badges, that's why he was the first choice as caretaker manager

My guess would be we were ready to appoint someone and it fell through, cue the random caretaker manager change and press release.

How anyone can sit there and defend the club on this is beyond me.

4 weeks later and a senior player who took over the caretaker role is now back solely as a player and a man who was sacked previously and over looked for the caretaker job this time, is now in fact caretaker?
I mean wtf is going on?

Sparks sacked Hughes with no clue what to do next , hoped his caretaker would get him out of the shit with the fans, like Trueman and Sellars did and that’s backfired and we are scrambling about looking for a manager.
We appointed Hughes with no real interview strategy last time as we found his email in our junk folder
Before that Adams was highlighted and picked by Sparks
This time who knows what the plan is all the while the club is going stale and we are back to the arse end of league 2 again.

I suspect it’s a manager already employed. Negotiations on compo may be delaying the process. I thought the answer would be yesterday. The longer it goes on……?

Why compo? Either you can afford to pay it or you move on?
