The latter formed in 1983 as Death Cult, a name brought forward from Astburys band SDC. They didn't change to the Cult until 1984.

From what I can gather none of them actually come from Bradford, and one member said in an interview (on radio leeds) that it was a myth and most had never been to Bradford.

Ian Astbury must have been here at some point as he was in SDC, but he was born in Heswall, moved to Canada at 11 and then Glasgow. His earliest links with Bradford seem to be 1980.

 

I truly hope there is some substance in these takeover rumours.

The only thing our club has got going for it is our fantastic support and we deserve far better than this complete shambles we have endured since Rupp and Rahic rocked up

No it’s all about having the correct manager. Hughes did ok last season but I think he lost interest once we failed to go up. Very few owners pump their own cash into a budget without wanting it back at some time,and if we got taken over by someone like Gibb and Baldwin it would make little difference to the results with this squad. Incidentally the rumours of a takeover are complete bollocks apparently.

 

Wouldn't surprise me if they were bollocks tbh.

The playing budget is fine, the direction of the club, the lack of expertise, drive and interest from the top is shocking. It's been about having the correct manager for how many appointments now? And if they keep getting it wrong, why trust them?

A little bit of a strange mission statement. Basically stating they want a sustainable and secure future. Well in effect Rupp and the business model he's implemented is doing just that.

Should it be in addition to a sustainable and secure future the fans want a committed owner with a clear vision backed by investment and a structure to align with the stated ambition?

 

Does investment go with sustainable and secure? If a club needs extra investment from the owner is it truly sustainable as the investment isn't sustainable unless it is getting paid back

 

Sustainable? Yes, for now.

Secure? No.

The lack of football expertise is STILL killing us, despite the fact it's been pointed out ad nauseum for years now.

The stubborn owner and his ticket seller won't address the issue.

Our future is not secure.
