Completely agree mate, most thought MK would be up near the top after being relegated, looks like they now have a manager that's the right fit to play that expansive style. Battling hard will only get you so far.

Well if we can’t come back against the bottom of the league then a very long season ahead.

    Couldn’t agree more. Perfectly summarised.

That said can’t take away what Macdonald has achieved in the 4x previous games when, after Tranmere, we were very low.

Sadly I’m just a little despondent where the club is going from here. Some of the players calls for Macdonald to get the job has been admirable, but to be honest I’ve found it a little cringeworthy and naive. None of the prospect managers excite me and even after tonight, I genuinely would rather Macdonald see out a few more games and the club has a deeper look inside itself to understand what is the long term future for it, before rushing into another decision.

Of course I hope Im left with egg on my face with the above comments and we turn things around, for sure there’s plenty of the season left to do so. But there’s little to hint right now that on and off the pitch, we have the ability to truly challenge for promotion this season.

But let’s see - dust off and see what we are really made of come Saturday.

Can we bring the laughing emoji back? Please.

Poor lambs tired cos they had lots of ppl watching them on Saturday. Well, they are certainly going in right direction to make that not happen again!

I’m sure Kiwomya must be paid directly by Rupp and Sparks.

Also, Hughes had to deal with many injuries. Every manager does

The over the top reaction was saying give him the job after two 1-0 wins

It’s all been said but my main worry is the squad is nowhere near good enough to challenge for the playoffs never mind auto’s. Sparks and recruitment team plus MH have wasted our money. Plus the majority on 3 year contracts. At the moment I feel like I have been robbed. There is something fundamentally wrong with our club. Transparency none, No overall plan on how we make progress so the fans can see for themselves. In my view our team tonight represented how the club is being run certainly on the football side. We have no chance of gaining promotion this season with these players.

Yes, it's easy to play against a team that doesn't try, has no passion, desire or commitment. Dead easy to look world beaters.

A lot of people on here were lauding this squad and saying they should be far higher in the table, and it was Hughes holding them back.

    Now it looks flimsy again.

Do we still have a fitness coach? I’ve seen more energy and sharpness in my Mum’s care home after Sunday lunch than we showed in the last thirty minutes.

    A game too far?
After the Swindon game Brad Halliday spoke in the press regarding how rewarding it felt to leave the pitch at full time dead on your feet, however having won the game.

This high energy game played out at Grimsby, Wimbledon , then climaxed against Wrexham.

Tonight facing a rejuvenated Dons, spring in their step, and ‘new manager bounce’ we chased shadows the whole 90mins.

Totally lethargic mentally and physically, two yards off the pace, we under hit and overhits balls, unable to close down opposition. Unable to exploit space in their third.

MK Dons with more space to play than they ever could have imagined out Bradford City’d us.
They could not have had a better home fixture for their new manager.

Cook just growing increasingly more frustrated as the game progressed, often pointing it in the direction of Osabede at his lack of service.

Stubbs conceded a corner at 80min, no one round him, just had to make the ball dead, as he then hunched over hand on knees gasping for breath.
Taylor two minutes later hit an appalling tired back pass to Lewis, that Lewis did well to keep from going for a throwing.

Yes, City kept going trying to carry out KM’s mandate, but from the first minute it was evident it was a uphill struggle.

All Goalkeepers make great saves and Lewis has made outstanding saves in the time he’s been with us. However the yardstick between top and more average keepers is percentages, percentages of mistakes, of sometimes doing better than the average keeper. Harry is a very popular keeper with the fans, he has a great enthusiasm for the game. However, maybe he has to look at himself for some of the goals conceded, not just in tonight’s game. Is there a concentration issue somewhere perhaps? Something for him to work with Doyle on the training pitch maybe.

I’m not making excuses for tonight, I’m very disappointed at the manner in which we lost, however I’d have preferred Wrexham’s fixture tonight against Sutton , than new manager MK Dons after Saturdays marathon.

We’ve a big squad and have Sutton on Saturday, we’ll have Smallwood and Walker back after a break, Chapman back in the racks. We have a big squad, almost a second eleven beat a almost full strength Grimsby the other week, we do have a little strength in depth. If players are carrying knocks and are knackered, then it makes sense to rest them.

The high energy game clearly shows how important squad rotation is going to be, especially if we’re going to continue with this high tempo popular style with the fans.

Whatever Sparks, Rupp and co are planning regarding the direction of this club, I Wouldn’t beat KM too hard with a stick. But, having said that he must have seen his jaded players and walking wounded in the dressing room pre-match.

Well if the second half of the MK match is any evidence then we have to worry,I thought some changes at half time were needed.

I have never said give him the job but three wins a draw and a loss is promotion form. It’s how we recover from tonight that will show his mettle. It is away over the top reaction

Not so sure it's a plus. They've probably given back word after watching that.

You could say he had the chance to react at half time, but I don't think he had the players to make a difference. Hopefully on Saturday Walker and Smallwood will make the difference.
