No, it’s absolutely not ok. No more than it was ok when that far right Swedish nutter massacred innocent people a few years back, or when white supremacist Christian fundamentalists firebomb black churches in the southern states of the USA. Or when illegal ultra-orthodox Jewish settlers bulldoze people out of their homes on the West Bank. Or when Catholic nuns let babies die of cold and starvation in Magdalene Laundries and then buried them in mass graves.
Violent extremism is deeply wrong whoever is doing it. And doing it in the name of religion is not ok, whichever bunch of religious zealots is doing it.

 

Let’s be clear I don’t support their cause one iota but they have the right to express their feelings whether you like it or not. If they commit any offence they should be arrested etc

 

Another slant on the Israeli situation Egypt pre warned Israel of things happening a day or so before the attack, lets hope these guys have got it very wrong but would Netanyahu allow it to happen so he'd have free reign to do what he wants to wipe Hamas out ?

That doesn't stop social media being one massive playground where folk play atrocity top trumps. Currently Israel are the bad guys for 'allegedly' hitting a hospital with bombs killing hundreds, yet only last week 100s of innocent Israelis were butchered in their own communities by people on the side backed by the same people denouncing Israel. Fascinating to watch but ultimately quite sad that even massacres of war are used to score moral high ground points. Both sides of the argument are hell bent on killing the other, religion dictates the need to hate.

And the kicker is that the left are now even more right then the actual right.

It shouldn't make sense but it absolutely does.

 

People will believe whatever story fits their narrative. Could have been Israel, could have easily been 'friendly fire' from Hamas. A bit like the alleged 'beheadings' of kids that was neither proved or disapproved but the story was run with by Israeli media sources. The hitting of hospitals and schools has been a propaganda favourite to run with in the media for decades and has been used in countless wars. The story is currently being micro analysed by the twitter experts on both sides, lots of faux outrage being shown. Delicious.

Superb article laying out the numerous ways in which the international rules of war are frequently broken by a wide range of forces.

 

Many are using this war as a political football to attack things they don't like, be it the opposition because of a guy who was thrown out years ago (Corbyn), the BBC or other such things.

The only losers in all this are the Israeli and Palestine civilians that are caught up in all this. It's like with Sadam Hussain after the first gulf war, leaving him in power just creates the same problem down the road, unless anyone has the balls to take out Hamas this will repeat over and over.

Hamas are quite happy to kill their own people or see their own people die to try make them look like the victims and gain support of Arab and middle east nations.

God knows what Sunak thinks he can do, he can't keep the streets of London safe so what he thinks he can do in Israel god knows. I know we will be poorer for it as he will probably announce he has given them a load of money to cosy up to them. I guess he sees it as a good distraction from his own shit show here.

 

It does say it all when the Palestinian people who are fleeing Gaza are being stopped at Hamas road blocks, terrible situation for all involved.

 

And the bottom line is, 99.9% of the people who die on 'both sides' will be everyday, decent folks who just want to live their lives in peace, according to whatever values or beliefs they may have but behind which, leave us all one and the same.

 

The sad thing about all this is that you can believe both sides would bomb the hospital for their own agenda.

What a desperately inhumane situation we see unfolding in front of our eyes.

 

I'm not falling for that, one side a democratic modern society and the other a bunch of religious neanderthal terrorist thugs ...

 

Well never know but according the Sky news this morning the USA have a sattilite focused on that area and it would be able to pick up which side bombed the hospital, but I tend to agree with yourself, especially when Hamas are blockading roads so the Palestinians can't go South, knowing if/when Israel do attack the Gaza there will be fair more innocent Palestinians dying.
