    The goal today on the radio sounded like a Miller assist.

    But after seeing it I can't agree.

    Their defender tried to clear the ball and it hill Millers leg and fell back to the defender who then tried to clear it again and passed it into Payne's path who then scored.

    I do hope the rest of our season goes like this.

    Great result and some positive performances.

    Clean sheet first and foremost and despite being under spells of pressure we dug deep to keep the clean sheet.

    Lot of work to do but great feeling winning and one we hopefully will get used to.

    I think the players we have signed seem to be able to fit in a few positions and it gives the manager flexibility to switch it like he did today depending on the result.

    It’s good to see a few different ideas for a change on a Match day and not the same formation and just sub an extra striker on. Shows we must have been doing a lot of work with the players on that in pre season.

    Early days and this is a solid start but Barnsley next and they could be the team to beat this season with their squad

    Let’s have a good home record and who knows where we can go?

    2 or 3 more in would be nice too. Maybe a couple of loans and one decent striker

    Weren't we all, I didnt notice at the time but on the coach coming home a couple said the linesman flagged, having said that if It had been against us Doyley would have dummied the keeper and stuck it in the left hand bottom corner, I honestly thought in that position he wouldn't have looked to lay it off.

    Next week we need to close down a lot quicker against Barnsley. They scored 2 Goals from shots about 25 yards out and we can't give them that space to get a shot off. They looked really fast on the break and will give our defence a torrid time unless we get control of midfield and keep up tight so they can't play around our back line.

    It’s refreshing to see he understood how and why, in a TIMELY manner, it was to get the subs on.

    I'm sorry to correct you here but you said Riley, fast and attacking. Today that just wasn't true. I though he looked lost in the position he was asked to play, the balance of the team looked far better when we went two up top after replacing Riley with Doyle. Not a slight on the lad because he was out of position. Credit for Collins for going two up top when it could have been easy to pull Miller for Doyle and go like for like, which i'm not a fan of.

    Bloody hell mate your hard to please, I was lacking energy after 70 minutes in that direct sun and I was just sat watching the game. God knows how the players got through 90 +minutes credit to both teams great end to end football, today we rode our luck but worked very hard whilst doing it.

    I may be totally wrong but it may be the one drawback of this whole new "team ethic" approach. Maybe the older guy wanted to help the younger guy get off to a good start and tried to help him. Sometimes a striker needs to be selfish and Doyle probably should have been there.

    Doyle obviously laid it off because he knew Edin wouldn't pay the goal bonus anyway.
