Lewis has always been vulnerable from cross especially from corners as he doesn't like to come out for crosses, I'm just surprised it has taken this long for teams to notice this and get players in and around him like Walsall did today.

 

Better in what way? What has Mark Hughes achieved at this level?

I'm not absolutely guaranteeing the next manager will be better but at the moment I'm not sure it can get much worse in terms of performance.

We're 14th and if we're honest with ourselves, we've probably collected a few more points than we have actually deserved to already.

 

I fear this too!

 

We need a shrink. Our players seem to freeze when playing at home. Sh*te teams are turning up at VP and turning us over. It's got to the point where I dread home games but I'm far more optimistic at away games. It's nothing new, this has been going on for countless seasons and it certainly precedes Hughes.

 

I understand that Edin Rahic is available - he knows football!

 

Halliday linked up really well with Bobby Pointon for a couple of games, then Hughes in his bewildering wisdom drops Pointon and not even on bench today

 

Hughes said in the interview that we are good side when we go in front was he watching today.The interview doesn’t inspire me with confidence,it’s the same rubbish he comes out with with every bad performance or result.

 

Folk on here were crying out for Dan Kemp. Didnt hear a single rumour we were in for him.

Just been on loan at Hartlepool so he was not against living up north.

 

Hughes we need to get better to have a successful season like last season.

Really I don't think still being in league 2 is a successful season.

Every season we hear the same were going for automatic, which slips to making the playoffs, which slips to hopefully make top 7.

 

I thought same inspired me with zero confidence.

Usual no accountability from the man himself. When have you ever heard he got anything wrong.

 

I dont think a manager change will make alot of difference. We have exhausted almost every type out there during our L2 tenure. The club is rotten, poisonous with some deep rooted issues.

 

He just needs another 2million adding to our budget.

 

Think Hughes time is about up, but with the squad assembled I don't see someone coming in and suddenly making these lot click.

Lots of changes needed a this club, not just in the dug out.

 

In the same interview Hughes said of the first goal for Walsall that you can’t let the player run across the box without forcing him out,Well in the match against Middlesbrough,3 or 4 times the Boro players ran across our box without no tackle and nearly caused goals against us.The man only see’s issues when it’s to late.

 

Been watching too long to get upset over any results.
Normally over any poor performance by the time I get home.

What’s a bit weird is I had exactly the same feeling as I left the ground today after a 3-1 defeat as I had after last minute equalisers against Harrogate and Grimsby.

Almost resigned to the fact we are not a very good side and a draw isn’t even worth celebrating as what has come before it has been so mind numbingly dull that I just can’t be arsed getting out of my seat.

Something has to change.

Similar feeling here. It didn't even shock me today, our inherent problems only heightened by a manager with no real clue about lower league football. There's something badly lacking, that being a real belief that the manager has the know how to change it.

 

I thought similar resigned to the rubbish we see.

Thinking at 3-1 down if we were to get it back to 3-3 so what!

 

I'd never turn a City win down, lose that with the next game being Swindon at Valley Parade who are going vey well defeat against those two could see us just above a relegation place, I get where fans are coming from but lets not wish we don't win games hoping it will get the manager sacked.

 

I can understand that feeling. The one that surprised me most was Derek Adams. Not only promoted from this division with a big club, he got promoted with a minnow as well. I thought surely he'd do the same with Bradford City.

But appoint the right men and this miserable five season stay in the fourth tier will be over. Then watch the good times roll!

 

I nearly choked on my tea listening to that particular comment, I never heard once anyone at the club say finishing 7th in the league and losing a semi final game was success, he had 13 games to sort us out during the 2021/22 season then given a good budget to bring players in for the start of the 2022/23 season to get us promoted because that's what everyone was quoting at the start of last season.
