Dont see him dropping to L2. I think its pretty obvious we have moved on to the Leicester boy instead.

If there is a taker for Odusina I can see another CB coming in.

Unless he openly comes out and says we are switching tactics going forward, I'm not expecting more than one to come in. In 6 or 7 weeks time we'll have Cook, Oliver & Derbyshire for 1 striker spot. Walker, Odour, Smith, Chapman, Osadebe and a loanee to cover the two support roles behind Cook. Loanee can probably cover up front too. That's probably enough to cover the slots in his current tactic.

If we go back to the 4231, maybe he wants two? But again looking at the depth, unless it's a really good youth who will start it seems pointless to bring them in to just fill the bench.

I think he'll be shopped about for a taker for sure. If Timi goes out, probably some 18 year old CB on loan comes in to occasionally fill the bench.

Not expecting drama between now and the deadline.

If you Google him you'll find a lot of articles about him.

Did very well in their U23 team last season. Some were calling for him in the squad even last season. This season he played some pre-season games and some fans want him in the squad again. He's highly thought of to be fair.

Agree. Can't see Gordon coming to us. Too many league one clubs want him.

That would buck the trend. MH has always said he wants loan signings who have been out on loan before.

Listening to Morais yesterday he said if Hughes goes to a back four we only have one out and out winger at the club. The fact we looked stronger with four at the back, makes getting at least 1 winger in to give us options a priority alongside another striker.

Oduor can play on the wing and Chapman is back soon

Judging by the last half an hour yesterday McDonald and Smallwood can play together so a 433 formation could be the way to go with this team
    Lewis
    Halliday
    Richards
    Platt
    Stubbs
    Smallwood
    McDonald
    Pattison
    Walker
    Cook
    Oduor /Smith

Pattison is better playing deeper and alongside either Smallwood or McDonald. It gives him the space to carry the ball and make late runs into the box.

I thought that too making runs from deep is harder to stop but yesterday he was outstanding in the 10

I didn't go so can't comment but it's good to hear that he played well there too.

Overall it didn't sound like I'd missed much though. Same old, same old in terms of performance.

I think Pattison has been great alongside someone In centre midfield but surely his position is 10 he looked a different player once he was pushed higher up with the license to roam

Nope, you missed little. Pattison was again the main threat and Cooky barely got a kick. One of the few times we got wide and put a cross in, we scored.

Amazing how central and deep McDonald was for that 'cross'.

Hopefully McDonald is our saviour this season.

How did Smallwood look when he came on?
