    Aye.

They might have already. I don't think we'll ever know, especially if the conversation is as short as we both think mate!

Im not in the Hughes out brigade yet. He didnt do a bad job last season all things considered - we should have gone up though so he failed his remit.

We are 4 league games in this season. Calling for his head is ludicrous and knee jerk. Id say 15 games at least.

Wonder what Doncaster were thinking employing him

Aye. Foll were creaming when he got the job. I understand the frustrations but the vitriol aimed towards him because we have lost 2 out of the first 5 games is despicable.

We have sacked manager after manager and had no stability. The very least Hughes did last season was improve and make some progress.

I'm certainly not in any MH out brigade, as I want us to find a manager we can finally stick with and get behind more than anything, but my feeling is that MH is not that guy.

Did you not experience all the crap last season, especially at home, many speak of how poor this league is but still we failed ..

Not sure if you were referring to me or not, but I absolutely witnessed last seasons failure, yes our set up had holes in it for sure but from a ''just get us out of L2 prospective'' it didn't require us to redesign the wheel.

If Wellans was at Watford he’d be sacked by now.

I get all that , the point I’m making is NON of us know …. Yet the high number of people on here who claim all EFL clubs CEO’s need to know football to actually be a CEO isn’t born out with facts, nor examples.

I keep asking for examples but they are in short supply?

Sparks has been at City for approaching 6 years and the last 3 years as CEO.

That is a lot of experience in football.

I think much of why Hughes is coming under such early fire this season, is lingering resentment from the approach he took in the playoffs. An early lead in the first leg and then we did nothing but defend.

Exactly Rod…. And at another sporting club prior! Yet that’s deemed insufficient. Perhaps we would be better off with the CEO being the girlfriend/ wife of the owner?

And the benefit of that experience is being seen where, in football terms...?

I see where you are coming from, but there should be one strategy from the club, win as many games as possible.
A big part of being a successful football manager is getting the best out of the players available and realising what they
    can and can't do.
As an ambassador & representative of the club I like MarkHughes, but as a Manager, he seems to be demotivating the players with the new formation.
His after-match comment "We didn't anticipate that maybe they would run hard and run strong" is unbelievable unless it was sarcasm.
We all knew Uncle Deggsie would have his team massively up for the game.
I'm stick for now, but if we don't see changes fast MH will be off, probably given the option to resign.

Plus there is no certainty he would come here. He would also want a big contract. Furthermore Stevenage might not be happy to part with him and disrupt their season. He has also failed in previous jobs plus our ability to fail with just about every manager it does not bode well.
He is obnoxious as well, ok I don’t have to love the manager but I do have to respect him.

That's what people are blind to they are basing folks anger on this season and not the mickey mouse end to last season .........I mean the Carlisle game when we had them on the ropes was a belter .............and folk simply cannot see that he hasn't learned his lesson ............. time and time again he has us sat defending a slender lead with near on half an hour to go and within the first 4 league games he's been caught out once against Stockport and nearly got caught out against Colchester.................Is it a massive overeaction I don't know but the same patterns are emerging already and if Cook is misfiring and Lewis is not up to scratch then we really are in for a very poor season
