Wrexham look to be in talks with Peterborough over the transfer of Tshimanga for £500K. Peterbrough signed him for £250k earlier this year after his loan obligation from the end of last season. They are also in talks with Irish keeper Luke McNicholas. The 23 year old keeper has been the No1 at Sligo in the Irish Prem, fee is a rumoured £100k up front with add ons for what will likely be Ben Fosters replacement next season.

As known, apparently we are close to bringing in forward JK Gordon on loan. FGR are continuing with their youth approach to the season and have brought in 18 year old CM Alfie Bendle from Wimbledon and are about to announce the loan signing of Reece Welch from Everton in defence.

MK Dons are the latest team to be linked to Armstrong from Harrogate. It was believed he was Wrexham bound, but with their public move for Tshimanga it appears that one might not be happening. MK Dons are looking for another striker having had failed attempts at a number of profiled names.

 

Tshimanga has done nothing since his injury. I'd be steering clear if I were them though I suppose 500k means nowt to them.

 

Not exactly spare change but yes, wont be a colossal amount to them.

To be fair to the lad, he's only started 7 games in the year since he's been back from his leg break, 6 at Chesterfield and 1 at Peterborough and got 2 goals in those starts. His stats since his come back are 7 starts 24 sub appearances and 7 goals in a year but he's only managed just over 1000 minutes of football in the year. Not played enough to write him off just yet, but not a chance I'd be forking out half a million for him.

 

If we don't go up I can' see how Ryan could justify keeping Hughes, he'll have had 4 windows and good financial backing.

Now he needs to develop our players

 

We don’t have many younger players in the starting 11 that our ours tbf, although Lewis was a nobody at the start of last season and people on here were worried about him being first choice. Since then we’ve rejected bids from higher up the food chain so I’d say he’s developing. Cook although not a sellable asset due to age had his best ever season last year, and his hold up play and all round play was far above what we’d seen previously so again I’d say that’s a player that has developed over the last 18 months. Hopefully someone like Pointon will be next, needs to prove himself first though.

 

Because he can’t pass a medical.

 

I’m thinking he should be able to improve all our player. Cook is the only one he’s improved as Lewis was good from the word do and has probably cost us a more goals in his last few games. Maybe the Hughes affect is taking hold.

Doesn't look to have been disclosed. But he had a medical at Barnsley and they said no. Had a medical at Mansfield and they said no and went to Flint instead. Assuming they found something that could be a risk, rather than will certainly be a risk otherwise he'd be done by now.

 

I’d say Gilliead has improved under Hughes.

As a squad player I think he is enough. Look at some of the ex City shite Carlisle had.

 

That's fair enough, but it doesn't really shout improvement going from an ever present last season to a squad filler this one does it?
