You're assuming that the remaining 500k in dependent on add ons. It Is more than likely going to be a gaurenteed payment. @Dennis had written a good post on how transfer fees are constructed. If I remember correctly it was generally 60% up front and the remaining 40% gets paid at a slightly later date. Transfer fees being payed using this method is a common agreement between clubs, particularly when the transfer fee is large.

Ta Nick. I replied to Bantams Leland, re this. They admit it wasn’t mentioned at the time and failed to say how much , again at the time. They either lied, or wanted to keep it a secret so they could trouser any profit.

 

The trouble with any Doyle deal is Preston have injuries to their strikers which may mean them hanging on to him

If the Doyle rumours are true then I will applaud the board on this one as I rate him better than CW, and I think Doyle would be a better fit with how it looks we're going to set up this season.

 

One or two Carlise fans saying they won't see a penny of any monies received from us.

If Edin has got £1m for him then fair do's to him. I think we'd all accept that.

That feels like a good price to me considering he's only got 12 months on his contract.

I'm keeping the faith mate, I'd much prefer Charlie to sign a new contract with Bradford City, we know he can score goals rather than hope the next striker who comes in will, so as I say I'll believe it when the club announce it, whether Mr Nixon is a good source or not.

 

And CW has three league goals in 2018, one of them a pen. We know he is good but not proven over a whole season in L1.

 

Some press reports claim it's £500K up front and a further £500K if Sunderland are promoted.
