The same debate rages in every club. I rate Gilly as a good squad footballer , others don’t . That’s football.

 

I've given up expecting what to expect. Maybe we'll win the league. Maybe we'll just stay up. Maybe we'll squeeze the playoffs. Maybe we'll be bang average in 10th. I could see any of those happening.

Our strategy is basically, through sh*t at a wall and hope it sticks. And if it doesn't, throw more sh*t. Or make the wall bigger.

Joke of signing. Gent is clearly inept.

 

We will be also rans with dross signings like the first two.

 

Our issue at defending set pieces is simply the fault of MH & GH persisting with zonal marking.

Christ, our fanbase will have told Tranmere and Swindon that Vaughan and Doyle were a pile of shite.

J Morris, T Dieng and G Miller are others that were pappa for us but gone on and done decent things.

An underwhelming start to our business but a couple of exciting signings and things will look a bit rosier.

 

As I posted earlier, Andy Cooks resigning is a definite positive

 

We have enough filler. Our signings need to be difference makers.

 

Well its all on Hughes and its shit or bust. He bottled it in the playoffs last season so anything less than at least a playoff final is a complete failure.

 

Cook resigning yes and the next 2 or 3 not so much but the next 3 or 4 signings should be where the quality comes in and my positivity heightens

 

Hi folks, still have my account here so just my 2 cents worth on Ash Taylor. Its been a few years since we had him on board but there is quite a lot of disdain for him among fans here. He started off ok and aerially he was decent, chipped in with a few goals etc. But he has the turning circle of a U boat and his lack of mobility was a real issue. More than that he just seems like a bit of an idiot, seems very full of himself and there have been several times he has argued with fans on twitter etc. Whilst I guess there is nothing wrong with that, it just rubs people up the wrong way. When we played you last season your defence were trying to keep the ball and it appeared you were attempting to transition into a more possession based style of play, I dont get how Ash Taylor fits into that at all.

Anyway sometimes players just fit at certain teams, but on this one I fear by the end of the season you will be equally unimpressed. All the best though for the upcoming campain.

 

I dont disagree. JW would have been a difference maker so I will take some comfort knowing they are looking at real L2 quality as well.

Stubbs and Platt are both pretty solid so CB was never a priority for me.
