Away Ticket Fiasco vs Carlisle

Think I must have got lucky. Said sold out but kept refreshing and managed to grab a ticket for my dad and me.

 

I wonder if that was the case. I’d logged in before nine, got kicked out at 9 logged straight back in and sold out. Oh well, never thought more than 10% chance. 10 points short - it is what it is.

 

They were never available online to season ticket holders
At 08:35 my basket was accepted but told 1380 points were needed
I kept refreshing but at 08:50 the basket suddenly emptied and site was marked “sold out”
Presumably they counted folk in queue at VP and decided to sell in person only

I bought 2 more tickets this morning online, people were sat with them in their baskets and I got two when their sessions expired and it put them back on sale once the points had been reduced to 1.

 

You just need to persevere. It said only available to 1380 points, then when they take it offline it shows as Sold Out.
From then just sit refreshing and you will eventually get there,
They became available again at 9.02.
As designated ticket organiserer in our group (we don’t cheat the system just have family and friends set up), I’ve yet to miss out on any tickets when they have reached season ticket point.
Just stick with it and when it initially shows sold out, carry on

 

I see on facebook people are claiming they missed out on tickets but have been to every game but 4 this season home and away so are wondering if anyone has any tickets spare.

My maths ain't up to much but if they had a season ticket last year, and they have one this year, and went to all but 4 away games but all cup games they would be up at about 1,700+ points.

I'm not sure their claims hold up to much scrutiny.

 

My points allocation is 1150. Missed a few home matches, and didn’t attend any away or cup matches. So it is only fair under the current system that when tickets are short I miss out.

 

Yeah, at 1380 the bar wasn't that high if you had 2 x season tickets and a the home cup games you would have been touching 1,300. Meaning a few local games like Donny, Rochdale, etc and you are over the line.

So to claim you have only missed 4 away games is bending the truth.

Someone on facebook is now claiming they bought 4 memberships, one for themselves and 2 for family members but was surprised to only get 100 loyalty points once. They also extended the membership into next year and was surprised not to be given an extra 100 points. I'm sure you could have paid someone to sit outside the ticket office for £100 last night to get you one instead.

 

But you get a scarf with the membership....

 

If anyone is expecting allocated seats then I think they'll be in for a shock. It will be a free for all. When we went on Boxing Day, the first thing one of the stewards said to us as we went through the turnstiles was "hi guys, unallocated seating today thanks". No idea if that was true or the steward had been misinformed but nobody questioned where we sat

In any case, the 2 tickets I bought online yesterday are numbered ...000981 & ...001241, not sure how these relate to seat positions but there's not a cat in hells chance me and the lad are sitting apart!

 

I can only remember Hartlepool 2022 & Crewe 2023 with an allocated seat policy.
I don't get to all away games so there may be others.

 

I know. My friend has got tickets today so we will end up sitting together regardless of ticket numbers. As my daughter isn't that tall we will probably go near the front anyhow so she can see better.

 

Or perhaps just trying it on.
There's the cynic in me coming to the fore.

 

I went to both of those games and it was a free for all.
