he’s gone missing like the majority of the other loan players .............one thing we have to get right next season is the loan market we have found some good uns but the majority have been a huge failure ................

 

I would bench him on Saturday IF we had someone to come in and do his job but sadly we haven’t and Hughes probably knows that ............ how many strikers do we have and they still can’t get a place over a shattered Cook ............ they can go on about squad unity but when Cook needed his forward team mates to step up they’ve failed him ............... if we are to make the playoffs then we need to do it ASAP and at least give him a couple of weeks off so he’s right for them

 

Agree he looks shattered but theres no way MH will rest him whilst we are still mathematically in the mix for the autos. 4 wins and we go up. 3 wins and a draw might be enough if there are slip ups elsewhere. MH would get slaughtered if others slipped up and we didnt take advantage.
My worry is that having found a playing system that was working and saw us creating chances, we now need a rethink following Chapmans injury. Saturday will not be easy but if we do win then it really sets up the Northampton game.

 

I hear what your saying and agree when Cook doesn't score or has for him an off night we look poor as a team, as poor as he and others were last night I'm not sure Hughes has too many who would be in the starting 11, that looked a very positive starting 11 last night bar Halliday.
Would Hughes go with the same 9 and bring Derbyshire and Halliday in to start I can't see many more who would strengthen that 11, Nevers was poor after another bright start and if he picked Pereira which Pereira would turn up.
