That should have been made 24 hours ago!

bollocks , considering how bad we were after the weekend off before the orient game, we are in for a right stuffing on boxing day. No pun intended.

Why didn't we propose to move it to tomorrow when the weather is scheduled to be better?

All the talk of four winnable games has now come down to two. Playing tomorrow would have saved midweek fixture congestion down the line.

It also says parts are unplayable…. Got to just respect the officials here and move on. The weather has been baltic for a week now and I’d expect we do have areas of very hard ground.

    Why is that strange?

Every heard of Sun, stand, shadows? Not an ideal combo for defrosting a football pitch?

I didn’t mean it in a disparaging way.
The bits that don’t get much sun must be the parts that are still hard and the right decision has been made.

Does seem odd, you would have thought they have been checking the pitch over the last few days and as both overnight and today it isn’t significantly warmer should have been able to draw a conclusion as to if it would realistically be playable today and thus been able to announce it sooner which would have most likely been helpful for everyone, especially considering the fact the rail strike will make it harder for everyone to travel

They would have most likely have needed to make that announcement much sooner for that to even be on the table from a logistical pov as moving a match back a day isn’t as simple as it seems. Maybe midweek would have been easier to move it to but even then the various strikes that are happening right now are causing issues, Man Utd have had to cut attendance for the league cup match in midweek (and beg for fans with tickets to volunteer to give up their tickets as more were sold than they are now able to accommodate) due to it

Not really cost effective if they didn't do the job even with the help of the pitch being covered for was it..the past 11 days.

Seriously though, last 3/4 hours have made a big difference, from black ice on stone flags now mostly free to the fields being soft underfoot now contrary to what they were around 8.00 am ...
