    City’s Emirates FA Cup first-round visit of Harrogate Town will take place on Saturday November 5 at the University of Bradford Stadium, and get underway from 12.30pm

    From 12.30 (bit ambiguous) does that mean gates open or kick off. ?

    Bonfire night is horrendous in Bradford for the emergency services.
    Right idea if we are playing Saturday, get the game done and the fans home safely before the local idiots start their antics.

    I'm sure we have played many times on November 5th without having this excuse to switch kick off time to 12.30 or whenever it is.

    Unfortunately I'm working that morning so rules me out from attending

    Yes we have played on bonfire night before, but the pressure on the emergency services increases year on year around bonfire night. Too many idiots who think its fun to cause trouble with fires and fireworks.

    This was also covered in one of the episodes of BBC's Bradford on Duty. Full respect for our emergency services dealing with that nonsense.

    We've had fireworks going off most nights for the last 3 weeks or so, we know for the fireservice it's like the wild west on bonfire night so goodness knows what it's like for the NHS and police.

    I must admit l find the explanation for the early kick off a bit implausible.

    ‘The fixture will be played in this time slot due to the availability of medical provisions - including ambulances - to cover the game, ahead of Bonfire Night’’. https://www.bradfordcityafc.com/news/2022/october/harrogate-fa-cup-date-confirmed/

    Having looked at all the other FA cup ties, then apart from those on TV, (South Shields), all other kicks off are at 3.00pm.

    ln the Championship, then apart from the Sheffield United versus Burnley game which is on TV they all kick off at 3.00pm.

    In the Premiership, the great unwashed East of Pudsey kick off at 3.00 pm. The other Premiership teams playing on that day also kick off at 3.00 pm, except for Everton who actually won’t finish until well into the Bonfire night celebrations as they start at 5.30pm!

    If the rest of the country can have enough ‘ambulances and medical provision’, then it is a damning indictment of the health provision in Bradford.

    l would rather the club were straight and said it was to save electricity! It’s things like this which knock credibility!

    I actually think its more of a damning indictment of some of the morons that live in Bradford who have no respect for either the law or other people and not the medical emergency services.
