There's usually a few players get released at the end of January for just that reason.

 

From what I hear, negotiations usually start at 40%, so that would probably cost the club a bit.
You advise them they're not going to be involved and you're happy for them to rot in the reserves for 12 months.
We want them off our wage bill and they want a pay off. It's all a game!

Yes, no benefit of doing it now. They cannot sign for anyone in the Football League.
Not sure if NL clubs can still sign players on loan?

Nice little interview with MH here.

I am still in shock that we have secured such a high profile manager, fingers crossed things do fall in to place because this could be a real spring board for us.

 

I hope he sends bass back to portsmouth , lets hope he does not follow in the foot steps of brian robson , great player and a poor manager .

Can we recall Hornby? In my opinion there is very little between all three keepers.
Brian Robson was a major disappointment after the fantastic first home game against Millwall , i think , long time ago and the memory is starting to fade.
