Cooks strength is in the box. Asking him to run the channels like Adams did was naive to say the least. If you don't have the players in your squad to play your preferred way you either go out and recruit or you play a formation to suit what's available.

Great point. I actually didn't mind his criticism of the boo boys, but this 'you can sack me, but you won't get better' was clearly an invite to do just that.

 

Conspiracy theory alert. Could Aberdeen have colluded with Adams whereby he gets himself sacked and then they don't have to pay compensation? It would explain his last couple of interviews.

 

Well it was never going to work but boy has it cost your club a lot of money. Substantial compensation package to his former club and now a settlement package on top of everything else. Don't recall many being against his appointment but you were warned about his style of football being boring but few of listened. Maybe this time your club will conduct itself more professionally than you did in securing his signature.

I'm also convinced he wasn't sacked, but mutually terminated his contract so he could talk to Aberdeen. Will be interesting to see if he fires any parting shots in the press - about the backroom "secrets" he keeps alluding to.

New manager? I'd like us take on a former player (any club), new and hungry for success and comes with a reputation that the players will respect.

Kiwomya massively grew on me during his commentary time, he was like a big kid that loved bradford city and some of his mixups verbally were generally pretty hilarious

 

I hope he goes on and is successful at Aberdeen, it didn't work for us good luck Derek no hard feelings.
