Adams & Sparks out!

Sparks has a bit of a problem now on his hands.

He can see how boring we are to watch.
He can sense how alienated the fans are with Adams
He must hear the deluded ramblings every post match interview.
He must know we are destined for mid table finish this season despite all his bluster about not achieving promotion would be seen as failure.
All that said, if he fires Adams, it will scream incompetence on his part in getting through 3 managers in his short tenure as CEO so far, not to mention the compensation payout due to the excessively long contract he gave him and the 'fee' paid to Morecambe for him.

Stick or twist Mr Sparks, over to you, but please let's have some dialogue with the fans now as to your thoughts.

 

I honestly couldn't give a monkeys about dialogue. Weve had dialogue before. At best, empty and naive sentiments, at worst outright lies.

The only thing that truly matters in relation to this club moving forward, is the owner selling up and f****g off. Nothing else will make a difference.

 

Rupp also has a bigger problem!

BCAFC as a company have no assets apart from the golden ticket for membership of the EFL& a fan base of 14,000. If that fan base bought tickets in numbers on the back of now false promises and the fact that football was back after the Covid lockdown. Now as fans are giving a boring afternoon/evening being bored to tears with Deluded Derek’s Dour Football a miss and don’t renew S/Ts next season Stefan Rupp has a financial hole to hill. If the fan base drops to sub 10,000 next season he has to cover the losses, his investment isn’t worth what it was and he has no chance of getting his asking price if he is looking to sell.

So his decision is ‘investing’ in paying off Adams & Trueman and starting again or sticking with them and being forced to balance the books and paying the bills next season.

 

No losses just a drop in spending

 

Fixed costs of ground rent still need paying

 

Whatever is left goes on the budget. boycotts will only hurt the fans and club

 

Change is needed. And it clearly needs to be forced. Even if its painful in the shorter term. The biggest damage being done to this club is being done by those who own and run it.

 

Adams has ticked every box that gets a football manager sacked ! But he cant be cos Sparks will "loose face" if he does ? So an entire football club & its fans are up a "cul-de-sac" hostage to the vanity & reputation of Sparks. Nothing else matters so it can all go to shite then ?

 

Not sure if this is a wind up but if it’s not then we really are a complete joke. Lowest point of the club so far even with in admin era.

 

I'm not sure the Manager has lost the dressing room because of a few bust ups in the dressing room?
Every dressing room in the country will have a few bust ups over the course of the season.

 

I think it’s the more behind the scenes of the club that worries me.

 

I actually feel a bit sorry for Sparks at the moment.

He appointed a manager that I'm certain a majority of fans endorsed last summer in Adams.

Adams has achieved promotion success at every club prior to arriving here, so you cannot knock his record.

However, the one thing Sparks probably didn't do his homework on was Adam's personality and history of falling out with fans, especially at a similar sized club at Plymouth.

First month of the season apart, Adams has done poor so far with results and lately performances. His recruitment is very questionable and his calling out publicly of FCD twice and his captain Canavan is shocking man management.

Adams has never endeared himself to the fans from day one in my opinion, and I don't think there is a chance of him connecting with the fans now.

Sparks will damned If he does or damned if he doesn't now.

Damned if he does because of yet another failed appointment. Damned if he doesn't because it's getting toxic now the relationship between Adams and the fans. It wouldn't surprise me if he has alienated a few of the players too with his arrogant personality.

I personally think Sparks will stick with him, this season at least.

 

Sparks is damned because he comes up with terrible cliches that we aren't living up to...

Then sanction the transfer of people like Lavery, Robinson, Delfouneso and Tom Elliot. It's the rank opposite of everything we were promised in the window of season ticket sales. We continue to sign washed up journey men, depressing.

 

It would be a tough decision by Sparks to sack Adams and am sure he would have a tough time explaining it to Rupp but the fans would respect him more for putting the club first and admitting Adams was not working as expected rather than let it drag on to a mediocre end to the season.

Dont think feeling sorry for him is the phrase I would use @Idlebantam I certainly don't envy what's coming to him
He needs to do the best for the club and not himself and that's get shut as soon as he can
I know he would have to start again and appoint another manager hopefully this time he would be more thorough in his approach
Most fans can see what Mr Adams is all about and it ain't pretty, plenty were taken in by his CV but research the countless videos showing the relationship between himself and the Plymouth fans at the end and the warning bells would have started to sound it's rapidly becoming a mirror image
The silence from Morecambe fans (and most players) upon losing the manager who had just got them promoted was almost deafening too
Come on Mr Sparks do the right thing and show him the door NOW !!!!
