I don’t know. The Wagmi guys hinted that the offer was at the asking price and the article last year said he was looking for £10m

While he is not blameless, I can’t help but think Stefan Rupp’s approach to City is on the back of the advice he has been given, from others that ‘know football’. He has admitted he isn’t a football person.

When Herr ‘I know football’ was kicked out, he brought back Julian ‘Captain Admin’ Rhodes. Now we all know that JR loved to ‘balance the books’, any promotion push was always done on the back of a windfall from a previous sell on clause. JR leaves and is replaced by Ryan Sparks, but leaves behind his ‘Big Boys Book Of Running a Football Club’. RS tells Rupp he doesn’t need more investment as he is putting up S/T prices and he has got his old mate in to increase the commercial sponsorship monies coming in. Result Rupp doesn’t need to open his wallet as the club can be self funding.

Problem will be next season when fans decide against renewing S/Ts to watch another disappointing season of Derek’s total football. Rupp will then need to open his wallet to fund the losses, otherwise he will never see his reported £10m he now has in BCAFC. Derek’s total destruction of any youth talent coming through mean windfalls and sell ons will no longer be there to prop up the budgets.

We’ll never know though. We hear only from sound bite Sparks or some drivel about being a proud custodian.

That’s why I just cannot understand why the is such a campaign by some to get him out if there is nobody out there to get him out ????
I mean if someone came out and told us that they where willing to pay him what he wants then fair enough but there isn’t ????
Rupp ain’t the best by far but you look at other clubs owners and how they have set out and destroyed them Bury Fc for example ............... Rupp is running it like a business he ain’t gonna boom and bust it the late Tordoff did the same while he was chairman these a clever businessman they ain’t got there money by being stupid are they ??? The lads a Wednesday fan there owner threw millions at them to get out of the Championship and now what ???? They can’t sign anyone and are stuck in league one .............. if you could get away with big spending with guaranteed promotion then I’m positive Rupp would have acted by now ............. if forking out a few million to get us into the championship was that easy then he would have probably done that but there is no guarantees in football :( it sadly is never that easy

Surprised there hasn't been any feedback about this link,
Now you know why Gilliead has to play on a regular basis,

Putting your Miss Marple head on go to Salford's page and see how much their highest earner Tom Elliott is on
I hope City are not paying even half of his wages,
Also checked on FGR and Tranmere to see how they stack up and their totals are similar to ours
With the important exception that they have used the money wisely

We CAN build a squad with over 13,200 S/T holders
    But Adams didn't :(

How many people have told you now that we're not saying Rupp is literally picking the team and the tactics and telling them to do shit? If you can't even grasp that then I'm not surprised you don't think Rupp is the problem.

Swindon had 4.1k ST sales so at most they've made £1.43m from season ticket sales and we'd be looking at £2.6m in sales. Only almost double... so yeah, it is massive comparatively. Tranmere at most (they aimed for a club record of 5k sales) would be £1.75m. But why does that matter when we're talking about OUR budget and how much Rupp contributes?

I guess it's just an enormous, unfathomable, 1/10000000000000 coincidence that since Rupp bought us we've been strapped with shit managers who underperform, plummeting us down the football table. I just can't believe how unlucky this Rupp fella is!

You know what Gaz I really hope Rupp repays your loyalty with a fantastic transfer window. Oh...it's just gone? **so funny Crazy how every manager we get just recruits shite eh? Could it be a lack of interest and investment resulting in a shite recruitment structure? Surely not.... Is it up to the owner to employ the right people? To put the right foundations in place to build promotion chasing teams? Nah mate, just get a new manager in it'll all sort itself out. Oh that hasn't worked 10 times on the bounce? Must be shit luck! Try again.

I take it you don't get internet under Rupps desk because we actually had a bid put in last month! Any word from the ever so generous Rupp? Maybe his plans for the season going forth and his thoughts on the transfer window? NOPE :joy:

If this link is accurate, whoever signed off on making gilliead the top earner wants fecking shooting let alone sacking. Absolutely brainless decision and he doesn't deserve anywhere near that level of salary.

Gaz, do actually factor in what Adams said about the strikers we brought in during the Summer.

Yes they were brought in under him, and even he says that means BY him, but he made it absolutely, positively clear that Robinson wasn't the calibre he needed.

He was all he could get.

    Hands tied, mate.

Again, you should be looking at Rupp for the reason we aren't able to land the calibre of players needed.

It's staring you in the face. Adams didn't bring in Robinson for a laugh, and he didn't bring him in because he thought he was the man, either.

He brought him in because that was the option.

I think Adams described him as 'not Lee Angol' when he signed.
It was clearly a case of just getting a body in.

In the case of some of our players......a body would have been more effective.

The whole club has a very similar feel to the weeks leading up to Edin Rahic being ousted and it's been amplified by another absolutely stinking January window.

So bloody boring, I'd love to say that selling our captain a couple of hours before the window slams shut is a surprise but it's entirely predictable. Firmly in the Rupp out camp at the moment!!

As for Sparks, I was an advocate of his when appointed, I thought he might bring some energy to the job and change the way the club works and not make the same mistakes that's seen us go from touching the championship to a very very mediocre league 2 team. He's clearly done some good things commercially so maybe that's where he should of been, pushing the end to end commercial offering of the club and not letting us once again fall short on everything concerning football affairs.

It's easy to make soundbites but not so easy to follow through with them.

Ah sorry I'll have to ask every bidder to send me the briefcases full of cash in the future so that I can verify
