What a mess this window has been - we are lacking a mobile forward and a winger to give us some pace which we have none of - he likes to play on the break but we can’t as not fast enough - defensively we are short of a cb and glaringly obviously a right back - he isn’t going to use FCD (who I thought had a good game on Sat) unless for injuries and Staunton clearly isn’t rated - the current first choices not good enough so again replacements needed, Walker and Daly signed who want to play in same areas so unbalances the team - where is the logic there - Elliott can only be back up to Cook surely (which was needed) but surely priority was to replace Angol - just can’t get my head around it - not quite a happy clapper but usually try to be positive and supportive and criticise rarely - patience has gone and although it might be a culmination of a number of seasons I’m done with been shit. I’d love to say I won’t go or won’t renew but that’s not going to happen as I value the time spent and common interest with my son but not going to try and justify and support blindly - don’t like Adams and he’s lost me after the interview post game Saturday - desperate for some stability and we know sacking managers hasn’t worked for us - but I know it’s bad when I briefly thought Steve Evans would be OK - long list of out of contract in the summer but concerning is some of the ones that aren’t

I don’t like to sound so plastic but for the first time in 25 years unless a miracle happens, either promotion or Rupp sells, then I’m done until I feel the club gets it’s shit together. There’s only so much pre season nonsense and being out played to by league 2 village teams I can stomach. I had to think about this season after the garbage last season, but we were told lessons had been learned and nothing but promotion will do. Well it obviously will do so 3 more paying customers are lost to Mr Rupp next season, imagine we won’t be exclusive.

My son follows Man City (yeah, plastic but all kids love the Prem so hey ho) and having taken him there this year it’s opened my eyes a little for priorities and how I choose spend my Saturday afternoons in future.

watching terrible football here, bad results and being part of that terrible negative atmosphere is not fun and a waste of a Saturday afternoon. The pandemic has killed a lot of the interest off for me, sadly. After that initial desire to go to games, back to hating it/chore mode again.

the club giving it the big I am but not backing the manager properly in the summer has come back to bite us and even now, with a chance to address our weakest areas, we’re not doing enough.
